This goes out to our LA, OC, San Bernadino County Posters (plus anyone else who might be in town next week). It's early in the week and The Fox and Hounds don't have it listed yet, but let's get up early, get on the freeways, and watch this one in Studio City. Tim lives nearby and will be there for sure, as long as my daughter's soccer doesn't get rescheduled I'm in. Here's some points to ponder....

    1) The biggest game of the season, survival on the line, a loss and visits to a pub will probably come down to an FA Cup run.
    2) The founders of this site will be at the match together, the least we can do is send some left-coast mojo their way.
    3) Quite probable that the player many of us followed to Fulham will be playing his final home game in a Fulham shirt (McGod, we salute you)
    4) You'll be home before 11 am (unless your jlough and driving up from Ramona or Tovi from Santa Barbara  )
    4) How often do you get to enjoy near empty freeways?
    5) The final match of the season (at Pompey) is on Sunday, May 11. Which also happens to be Mother's Day (obvious problem)

Yes, its listed at 7am, and for most us that have to make a long drive the initial reaction would be "are you insane?". However, this isn't a standard match, it's literally all or nothing. Combine that w/the fact the Reading/Spurs game will be shown on a seperate tv and we'll know by 9am whether or not there is still a chance.

Wow, I wish there was a Fox and Hounds type pub in Denver, or at least one that has its stuff together such that its TV lineup is posted several days in advance.

No truer words have been spoken.

I am seriously leaning towards making the trek from the 562 for this one...

    6) 3,000 miles east, your New York brothers in arms will be at the bar to help further increase the aforementioned mojo. You don't want to let them down!

The final bump, and no its not too late to set the alarm clock. Gotta finish the 10 reasons to show up (thanks for #6 Sublicon)

    7) You're going to be pissed off at yourself for not going after the fact.

    8) What better way to excuse yourself from household chores than the need for an afternoon nap.

    9) You can have a pint at 7am and not feel like a lush.

And the tenth and final reason you should show up tomorrow....

    10) You're a f&%*ing Fulham fan, not some bandwagon hack. COYW!!!

A fair number of FFC supporters have been showing up in San Diego at the Shakespheare Pub & Grill. More as the season moves on. Should be beautiful weather overlooking the Bay, although it did rain here once. English breakfast for us older supporters and a few pints for the younger (over21) supporters (7:00 A.M.). The Reading match will also be on. Thanks goodness no Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool types this week. It is a one hour drive for me but worth it.

OK, I'm going to try to make this one, mind you I live 2 hrs away. Fox & Hounds that is. Hopefully we don't get stuck in the corner with the 15" screen while the tivo recording of the ManU Westham match plays on the big screen. Any wagers?

Archie; Mucho respecto if you show up manana all the way from Redlands (which is a good 50-60 minutes due east from where I live in Walnut). Easily a two hour drive to Studio City, first beer is on me for sure.

    Our wee club!

"Is this the AA meeting?" haha

This morning 8 Fulham fans took over Fox & Hounds and made the ManU and Spurs fans watch their respective matches on the 12" screen while we watched "Our Wee Club" on the big screen. "We will, we will, we will not be moved!"

    Fulhamish is magic! Amazing result.

Great meeting Joe, Brian, Tim, Tommy, Carlos, and the two English lads. Anytime there are more than two Fulham fans in the same room it is a special occasion.

While watching the match, the Spurs fans were making all kinds of noise in the other room singing standards like "If you all hate Chelsea clap your hands. (clap clap clap)" And I realized, other than our basic chants like Com'on Fulham and COYW, I really didn't know any Fulham songs. So I came up with some on the fly...

"I'd like to buy Reading a Coke.
    Derby needs some company.
    Cos if all goes right,
    The Coca-Cola League,
    Is where Reading will be."

    After McBride scored...
"Our spirit grows after that last goal
and our hopes for the Premier League
With the roar of the Cottage
are fans as great, as any in the world, says me.

Score again me boys, score again me boys
And by 90 we'll have three!

With a golden tear from your favourite beer
Raise whats left of your pint for Fulham FC!"

Then when we won everyone joined in with...
"We will, we will, we will not be moved!
We will, we will, we will not be moved!
We will, we will, we will not be moved!
We will, we will, we will not be moved!"

Let's hope we can do this again next season! Thanks for the rounds boys. And next time lets learn some songs.
