Seems a bit harsh to say about a guy who just played 120 minutes when people who watched the game described him as the best player on the pitch.

Terrible result. Anyway, we probably could use the time getting the new guys into the squad. On to Bolton!

    Hey,
We should have a pretty good Championship squad next year...

...might make it even tougher to get those games on TV though...

I don't care if it is harsh...a player of Bullard's supposed quality should never miss a penalty with the game on the line...ever!

I know I am an idiot and prolly sound like a moron to everyone who has been following the club for a while but I just hope he gets into the form that you have all come to know him for and expect from him.

I'm sure he isn't in match shape and after 120 minutes anybody can miss but if he's a leader he has to make his damn penalty!

You dont need No Broadcast this IS The worst lineup and this defence the worst in the premiership and Championship, this back four will struggle in the championship and your about to find out very soon.

I cant understand why your all disapointed with this result? this team is going no where but down, Sad to say but the writing has been on the wall for several season we have escaped more than once, accept it I have this team will play in the championship next year, struggle yes, most of this team with leave no big deal they are not performing now why should they commit to the Championship, A new team will form and hopefully return to the Premiership but under this Management and Players NO.
The sooner you accept it the better in my book, I've said it before there is NO Passion and No commitment from these players any more.

While things are looking worse as each day passes in terms of Fulham surviving relegation, I am not writing the season off just yet. They are admittedly playing terrible right now but there are still 15 league matches remaining and until they are mathematically eliminated from the Premier League, I have to think they will snap out of this funk and grind out enough results to stay up. Perhaps it is wishful thinking on my part, but that is what I think deep inside me.

I still think you're overreacting. Better players than Bullard have missed penalties in situations both more and less important than this one - Roberto Baggio comes to mind.

From what I've read, it was just a lucky guess and great save by the BR keeper; Bullard took the penalty well.

true bearzfan but the game should not have come down to penalties. Like Don said, the game should have been over at the Cottage. A disgrace to let them leave with a draw and force us back onto their crummy sod. That is not an excuse for losing this match either, but we need to take care of business at the Cottage. Clearly confidence is at an all time low. I don't blame Roy for playing 6 defenders either. Roy is trying to find out what combinations work. Avoiding relegation is the ONLY thing that matters right now and Roy needs to find out which players are up to the challenge. I'm pretty sure he's found out that Baird can't cut it, and that Stefa and even Hughes are most likely back up material. Don't be surprised to hear us linked with another CB shortly, and possibly a RB.

Sorry to disagree AP, but the pen was poor. The keeper has to guess the right way, but JB hit the ball at a good height and not close enought to the post for it to be good. On another day the keeper would have guesses wrong and he would have scored.

I attach no blame to any player who misses a penalty in this situation. The have all been big enough to stand up and take one an that takes bottle.

I have been involved in one penalty shoot out ask a keeper and penalty taker, as the keeper I had nothing to lose as you are not expected to save any, but when I also took a pen I was ****ing myself. I hit is as hard as I could and got lucky - I never want to do it again.

While going out the cup is disappointing, we had no realistic chance of winning it. Fingers crossed for bugger and better things.
