Hello, my name is Archie and I'm a Fulham addict. My family hails from Killyleagh, Northern Ireland, where David Healy is from though ironically I was already supporting Fulham before Healy and the rest of the Norn Iron contingent was part of FFC. I've lived in Canada, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, but have been in California the longest. McBride got me hooked on the club and with all the US and NI nats it is a natural fit for me. Plus the fact that Bestie played for the Whites adds appeal for me.

I live in SoCal and often drive up to 2 hrs for a good pub to watch a Fulham match at. My local pub, the Royal Falconer in Redlands, doesn't open til 11am and since most kick-offs are earlier than that I drive to Fox and Hounds in Studio City. Some other pubs I've been to for FFC matches are British & Dominion in Garden Grove, Joxr Dalys in Culver City, and Bestie's aka The Underground in Hermosa Beach. It'd be great to get a group of SoCal Fulham supporters to meet up for matches somewhere as its getting old sitting a cheering by myself or begging the bartender to turn on one small screen with Fulham while 5 others have Chelsea, Arsenal, or Man U on. There's power in numbers so lets get together and force them to put our match on the big screen and put Chelsea on the 17".

I'm also part of a supporter group for the LA Galaxy as I like to always support the local club wherever I live (please don't hold it against me). I've met at least a half dozen members who also support Fulham from that group. Sure they'd be down for joining us as well.

Welcome again Archie and what a great story you have considering your USA/Norn Iron connections all came together at Fulham. Similar to mine where I was a fan in the seasons between yanks Eddie Lewis and Brian McBride.

Glad you found the site and if we can do anything for you or if you have any suggestions just let us know. Make sure to pass us on to others as well.

    Welcome aboard .....

Nothing wrong with supporting a local club. A few of us older members here {well.... me} actually started with Fulham as our second club.
The usual reason for not following a local club "-not good enough-" would beg the question: Then WHY FULHAM?
And, with the Gals, there's a bonus.. much MORE reason for bitchin, moanin and WTF credulousness!
    ;)
Suggest you do as I do, however, and wear Fulham to AT LEAST ONE Gals match a year.
And you guys in the LA area can do as some of us in the east did this year when we gathered at a Crew Match.... in Fulham gear.

As you can see, from the link, there's ways to bring in Exile supporters and have a little fun, as well.

Yes, I must be a masochist with my unfortunate choice in clubs. I just keep telling myself that they are underperforming and will be back in proper form any moment.

And it's YOU telling ME that?!!! At least you arent worrying about whether Beckham will be back next year.

Unlike the Crew fans about Schelotto.

Misery loves company. But I'm forever the optimist.

The US Nats are playing Sweden at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA sometime in January I believe. That would be a good opportunity to sport the white kit and strengthen our numbers out here in Cali.

Welcome Archie, AM's right nice to see more and more little left-coast
representation. Have to give you props and tell everyone that hour and a half drive you do to get to Studio City is in good traffic.

Hey Archie. Glad you found the site. That's pretty cool about your heritage and the influx of Northern Irish in the squad right now. Looking forward to your contributions on here. Welcome aboard!

    Hello Archie,
I am a Galaxy fan as well. Gotta support your local club is right. I even have a bit of a soft spot for Chivas once they lost the "Mexicentric" team mentality (I know there is a big rivalry in the Classico, but they play a nice style - and I have always liked Razov). Since I wear a Galaxy shirt to the games, I get heckled by the Chivas fans on the way out - especially this year.

Looking forward to seeing McBride back in the FFC uniform.

I am going to try and go to the US game as well.

Eric, Tim, Joe... we will definitely need to hang out for a Fulham match and when the USMNT play here. Can't do it this weekend though cos I'll be out of town for the holiday.

McBride, oh captain my captain, please come back healthy soon. We need you!

As for the Chivas, I really do NOT LIKE them although I do admire their playing style this last season. Leaps and bounds over the Chivas of old.

I totally agree with the Chivas deal. They play a nice game, but I cannot stand the fans. I think to myself that I would like them, but then the fans make me think what the hell, move Chivas to the Coliseum.

There is no shame in being a Galaxy supporter. They gave us 10 years os awesomeness before falling short the last two.

I'm a charter member of the Galaxians Supporters Club, btw.

And, oh yeah, I've rocked my Fulham kit at several games in the past.

Archie, welcome to FUSA and I hope that you enjoy the site. A fantastic group of Fulham supporters both in the states and abroad are represented on this site.

Just made my way back from Dublin a week or two ago. Seems to be a fairly nice city, but I would rather of went to Galway or Belfast if time permitted. Shame about Northern Ireland's luck in the Euro Qualifiers. Was pulling for them, but it wasn't meant to be.
