Something needs to happen before the arsenal game. I really can't stand this anymore.

That is not all folks. Not only have we been linked to Cisse, but also Dario Simic and Teemu Tainio. If only we could sign a couple of these top notch players that we have been linked to. I want Cisse,Albelda and Van Buyten, but that is wishful thinking. Simic would not be so bad. Cisse I think is a must though. He can make something out of nothing and the price seems to be right.

i'm been clamoring for either tainio or ghaly. and considering as how derby took the nutcase, why not the finn?

cisse and albelda seem like long shots. emile mpenza on loan is a reality.

the funny thing about transfers i've noticed is that 75-80% of rumors that papers report never come to fruition. completed transfers seem to usually come out of the blue.

Johnson would be an interesting signing. He definitely adds a lot of pace up top, but I wonder if he is physical enough to compete with premier league defenders. He's been really inconsistent in the past as well and would he even have a place in the side when McBride and Kamara come back?

Personally I like Eddie Johnson a lot, and I think he does show some flashes of being really good, but consitant enough. I don't think it would be the one to help us stay up. However, as an American I would still like to see him on the squad. I don't care much for Kamara, I think EJ would get a chance to play some and prove what he has.

Johnson strikes me as a classic boom or bust move. I think there's a real chance he'll turn out to be an effective Premiership striker if he's willing to put forth the necessary effort to do so. Assuming the price isn't outrageous, it's worth a shot. He can't be any worse than Kamara.

    Fulham Size Up Nikola Zigic
"Valencia's Nikola Zigic could join David Albelda in moving to Fulham, according to the latest speculation.

In addition to their interest in club captain Albelda, the Cottagers are said to be on the trail of the tall striker, who only arrived at Los Che this summer after a fine season at Racing Santander.

Since then, however, he's found the going difficult at the Mestalla, and could be set for a move. Big-spending Segunda Division side Real Sociedad were on the verge of making a bid, but Fulham have now joined the chase as well.

New Valencia boss Ronald Koeman, who joined after the club hierarchy signed the Serbian hitman, is said to be eager to see the back of Zigic, who does not fit into his playstyle."

Gotta get him! the man is 6'8"...a powerhouse. do whatever it takes Roy!!!!

Fulham seems to get linked with Zigic every transfer window. He would be a nice addition to the team. Not sure what the price is for him, but he would be welcomed at Craven Cottage.

Then again, any player that could improve the team would be welcomed with open arms by all of us.

I tend to agree, especially since he's got a very good relationship with Clint Dempsey. During the World Cup they were always hanging around each other outside of training. I think that would be a good plus if he were to sign, I'm sure Clint would lend a helping hand in the transition of moving and playing in a different country.

Zigic would be fantastic, best striker we've been linked with so far. Unfortunately I'll have to file that in the "I'll believe it when I see it" pile.

I think Johnson would be a good addition. I think he would bring the pace that I think we were hoping Kamara would have brought. Just curious... Derby is making moves... Wigan is making move... Reading is making moves... FFC seems to be sitting idle... There's lots of talk which is good, hopefully though some moves are made before Arsenal. I'm just worried about Bristol. It's like a disease, once you start losing it seems like they just keeps coming. I'm still optimistic about Tuesday, Saturday and the rest of the season.

I think we need to focus on players with Premiership experience. EJ might work out or he might be a bust. A player who has been successful in this league is more of a sure thing. EJ sounds like a good player to add in the summer. Also, since it's the offseason for MLS, he'd need time to get into game shape. We don't have that time. If it's a matter of buying him or nobody, I'll take him, but he's not the answer to the question of the moment.

"Fulham have been linked with a move for the Glasgow Rangers player, Daniel Cousins!

A fee of £3 million is being quoted as the bait for Rangers to sell their thirty year old player who signed for them, from Lens, in the summer.

Cousins has previoulsy been quoted as suggesting that he`d live, at some point, to leave Rangers to sample football in England.

Quite whether this proposed move is a little early after only signing for Rangers in the summer is open to debate.

However, perhaps Rangers would see the fee as a good deal, we`ll keep you informed."

i don't know anything about this guy. anyone w/ any info on him?

It seems as though we are trying to spend our way out of the transfer window. This is going to work as long as we get 3-4 of these players we have been linked to. I personally would want Simic,Johnson,Albelda and Zigic. I think that is also quite realistic. We need not only 1 forward, but 2 forwards to help us score. I would love a Zigic-Johnson combo up front with Kamara and Healy coming off the bench. Also that would let dempsey play in a better role like right wing or let him have the whole of the midfield to do his thing. Albelda would spray passes all throughout the park and would let Johnson loose on many occasions. Simic would shore up a leaky defense with experience at the highest levels. I think Van Buyten would be the better buy, but Simic is more realistic.

It sounds like Eddie Johnson is close to signing. I saw something on the ticker of Sky Sports tonight about a signing coming soon. Here is also a story that popped up in a Kansas City newspaper 37 minutes ago:

Fulham fancy Scharner - Daily Mirror

Roy Hodgson is gearing up for a new signing at Fulham as he plans a £3million bid for Wigan's Paul Scharner. Is the Austrian the right player for Fulham, and should Wigan let him go?

That was off of Sky's website

I like EJ, but i don't think he is our way out of relegation. We need someone who can help us now, seems like thier looking for next season.
