Davies evidently played a blinder for Wales yesterday, so if he's not wiped out, he'll probably feature. I haven't gotten a feel for how LS manages yet, but with all the new guys in the squad who haven't been blooded, and with most of the Irish contingent having played 180 minutes since Saturday lunch time, if I were him, I'd run this lineup out:

    ----------- Niemi ----------------
    Volz -- Boca -- Stefanovich -- PK
    Murphy -- Smertin -- Davies -- Boazza
    ------ Dempsey -- Kamara ----

Bench: Keller, Hughes; Omozusi; Seol; Kuci
[I have no idea what the traveling squad will really look like.]

    Wigan 1, Fulham 2

    What Don said.

Volzy's due. I have no idea about his practice habits... he's a laid back guy, but as he seems to fit more into the 'American mold' than many on there, I'd think he would get his chance and make the most of it.
And I think Dempsey pairing with Kamara would be good, along the lines proposed in the YA article thread.

It has been a while since I've posted. Been a bit busy, but lets jump back into it.

    My prediction for the lineup:
    Niemi
    Baird Boca Stef Konch
    Davies Smertin Davis Ki-Hy
    Deuce
    Kamara

    Predicting the result:

    Wigan 1-2 Fulham
(Heskey... he's been in great form of late) (Kamara, Dempsey)

I say we lose or draw. Hoping we win, but Fulham absolutely sucks up North. Fulham can win it and needs to win it, but after the international break we won't totally be prepared.

Lyle; Let's be honest, they've sucked in all directions. The wins are so scare, I do remember the boys going up north and beating Newcastle last year (of course Jimmy was hurt that day).

    Kuqi Monster!!!

I sure hope he lives up to that new nickname, but reports are les than glowing on him. I think Seol will be good for us, especially since the boys back home (in Korea) paid a hefty sum for his services. Korean expectation and pride will push him. Danny "Drop-Kick" Murphy(s), I just hardly know anything about, but he looks like he'd stand toe-to-toe with a guy twice his size.

Should be fun to see what happens with those three.

    Final: Wigan 1 - 2 Fulham

I don't know why but I have a feeling of quiet confidence about this game....which is funny because I usually have a feeling of impending doom.

    Wigan 0 - 2 Fulham

Even the naysayers seemed to agree that Kuqi has a good work rate, which is one of the things that we all appreciate about McHead so much, so perhaps he'll pleasantly surprise us.

Looking at discussion over on TFI, it's nice to see all the Brits starting to believe that Deuce is worth a spot in the lineup. :D

According to Soccernet, Hughes is also in the lineup. It'll be interesting to see where he'll slot in. Perhaps he'll go to RB and Baird will move to CB.

Who really knows what LS is thinking coming off of the international duties. I think he should rest a few guys, with the new recruits warmed up and ready to go, but it's too early to get a read on him. I see a 2-1 win for us.

    Niemi
    Hughes - Stef - Boca - Konch
    Davis - Davies - Smertin - Seol
    Kamara - Dempsey

Dempsey scores again. Fulham is winning early on. Man Clint has really had a nose for goal lately.

    Possession?

What the hell is going on? BBC Sport reported first half possession as 72-28 Fulham, but now it's 56-44 Wigan overall. Are we getting peppered in the second half??

    Is anyone watching? Updates??
