I have a subscription to Fulham TV which I use to listen to the Gentleman Jim's live commentary and check the highlights after the match.

Late last year, it crapped out on me and that has continued into the new year and is still persisting. As anyone who's tried to get tech support from Fulham TV can tell you, there ain't no such thing, so I'm getting no help from that source.

Has anyone else had any problems with Fulham TV? I've installed the latest version of Windows Media (v. 11) and I get nothing at all - no sound during the live commentaries and no video on the highlights feature.

Does anyone have any suggestions about alternate access? I live in Canada and we get a lot fewer games than in the U.S. so Fulham TV is my lifeline!

Thanks for any information anyone can provide.

I haven't listened in on either match this season so far, but I didn't experience what your are describing last year. Occasionally, there's some problem with GJ, but on the one or two times that happened, I just clicked in on the opposing feed.

Hope it clears up for you. GJ and Fulham TV is part of my fun each match.

You're right, it's a great way to spend a Saturday morning, that's for sure. But unfortunately, I get no sound whatsoever on either team's feed.

Today during the Bolton match I even tried to purchase a Matchlive Gamecast subscription for 25 quid. It was a terrific example of stupid programming however. When I tried to click on a match, it told me I needed a subscription and told me where to click, so I did . . . which took me back to the page which told me I needed a subscription. Aaaaargh!!!!!

My Fulham TV works fine. Listened to the Arsenal game, and have watched the highlights from both mathces. I have a brand new computer though.

Well, good to know it does work, I suppose. It's driving me nuts, because there's no apparent reason for it not to work, so I don't even know where to begin in troubleshooting this problem and like I say, one can't get hold of Fulham TV (or the content providers, PremiumTV) to save your life!

    1. Install Firefox – use this as your browser
    2. Install Winamp player – make this your default media player
    3. Install MediaPlayerConnectivity - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/446

This should fix your problem. I had a similar problem that was driving me crazy.

In case you're wondering, this has been seen to occur in both ways.

I think there's some obscure bug in windows which can cause WinAmp to suddenly drop dead, as well. Happened to me and I did a search... others had the same problem but I also came up with hits on WMP doing it.

Actually I prefer WMP, thank you very much.. but your mileage may vary.. especially if it fixes that problem.

I DO know that when volume is turned down or muted in WinAmp, it's turned down in everything. {W2000} And that just aint right.

Oh, and do your windows updates. Far from uncommon for one 'fix' to screw things up. If you dont get the fix for the fix, you'll never solve it.

    {Yes... it's a Microsoft plot!}

Thanks Dirtyboy and Pettyfog - I'll give these suggestions a go and see if that doesn't fix it. What I can't understand is why it went on me in the first place as I changed no configs whatsoever.

    Thanks again.

You may not have MEANT to... but

A; Did you download a windows update?

B Did you download a P2P client {like sopcast} at about the same time?

Go around to various other sites, like TV and news sites, that use embedded players for video.... do they work?
Does YouTube work? how about google and other vid sites?

Mine is touch and go. I couldn't access the game yesterday with my FulhamTV subscription which expires next week, so I signed up for the matchday live thing (cheaper too). And it worked.

GJ doesn't work for me on IE, so I use Firefox. Ironically, using Firefox when I click for commentary it says something like, only works on IE 7+ or whatever, and then it comes on.

The FFC infrastructure is indeed abysmal.

It's one thing to do stuff on the cheap, it's another to shoot yourself in the foot while doing it on the cheap.

And amazing when you consider it's probably in the hands of low-pay or no pay interns who couldnt give a crap what the fans go through.

While there would be numerous better qualified volunteers among the fan base who would straighten things out just out of love for the club.

Makes you wonder if Jenny Gower is still there or if she has quit in disgust.

Thanks Pettyfog. I have in fact downloaded a few Windows upgrades since this thing fried out on me, however no p2p clients at all. I think I'll try Firefox and see if that helps. BTW, I discovered I can at least download the video highlights and then view them later which is a small step forward. You're absolutely right, though, the FFC site is a mess.
