And how is it delusional to base MLS final predictions on results?

 

Both Houston and Columbus have good chances to advance to the quarterfinals, but Wow! - Mexico dominates the Concacaf Champions League like England dominates the UEFA one; don't win every time but put 4 teams in the quarterfinals.

Crew will be tough, but knowing the MLS playoffs - finishing at the top of the table does not seem to tell you a whole lot.

I guess you did say, 'skillful,' and Becks does have a world changing skill with his crossing and dead ball precision.

GBS - I am not so sure if it is skill with him or determination, quickness, and vision. He does have moments of individual skill, but it seems he is the complete opposite of Becks.

If I had to pick, I would take GBS every time. Becks seems to only be as good as those around him that can take advantage of his service.

Apples to Oranges is what I am saying I suppose.

I am glad that all the Beckham brouhaha has blown over. Unless he comes up on the highlights, I dont even know he is in the league...

 

I suppose I get what you're saying. It's kinda significant that last season GBS was the assists leader. This season because of the slow start he is a scoring leader.
