I haven't got my tickets yet, but I'll be there. What time does the tailgate start? I don't have a charcoal bbq to bring anymore, but I can bring beer, food, charcoal etc

RE: Re: RE: Come see the Columbus Crew!

There has been some talk of meeting in the "arena district" of Columbus, since there aren't any pubs near Crew Stadium. That's aparently how it was done back in 05 before the All Star Game (I joined the festivities at the tailgate on that occasion).

Does Petty or anyone more familiar with Columbus want to suggest a time and place to meet up? It's a 5pm start, so we've got all day if we want to use it. Those driving back to ATL or other distant cities might not want to get too crazy...but let's hear some ideas.

So far, it sounds like turnout will be pretty decent. At least in double figures, which I was seriously concerned about. But it sounds like there's pretty widespread interest, so let's keep the ticket purchases coming!!

I've gotten word from Tom that we'll have the FulhamUSA banner flying proudly...so come help us represent!

I don't post on here much, but I still plan on attending along with maybe 2 other fellow Fulham fans. Sadly, it'll be my first ever MLS game (and I live in Cincinnati).

Um...you obviously don't know Atlanta folks very well ;)

We're going to be good and spend the night in the bustling metropolis of Columbus, OH. No way I am making a 7 hour drive back home after a day of soccer :D!

Is there a deadline for purchasing tickets in our section?

We'll be trading into the FUSA section for this game sometime this week.

As for the meet-up, I can be at the stadium anytime to help with tailgate. It's really the only option, since there aren't any decent bars or restaurants near the stadium. For the All-Star Game, we went to theArena District to party after the match. There are plenty of hotels and bars/restaurants to walk to in that area.

I guess I'll finally make my mind up and get two tickets. I'll either be bringing my girlfriend, or a friend if she can't come. she seemed to really have a fun time the last time we went to a Crew match ... which happened to be of course against TFC.

Yes, I believe they are blocking off our section until June 28.

Well, then, let's go with just the tailgate beforehand, and whoever wants to trickle down to the arena district afterward can do that. That will definitely simplify the meet up before the match!

So now we just have to agree on a time. If we Cincy types leave at noonish, we cuold be up there by 2...is that too early? Too late? What are people's thoughts?

Does anyone know if I need to buy tickets for a 2 year old or a 4 year old? I can't seem to find out on their website.
    Thanks

Hi there fellow Fulham fans, I'm looking to go and see that the deadline is nearing, I may buy the seat anyway, more the reason to go but I am in NY ( long Island) and would like to go as a passenger or a share a ride . I could also take the train to Cinn and try for a hookup for a ride to Columbus on match day, any takers- Americanbob

Is the deadline the 28th or the 29th? The announcement says both dates.

Terri, Deadline is the 29th (Friday!). Sorry for the confusion.

    Yo Bob,
Smokin' and I drove from Long Island back when Fulham played the MLS All-stars. Great trip but definitely needs two people. I can vouch for our friend American Bob here (known him for over 15 years and is the father of 'Critical Bill'). Has the baby been born yet?!!

    Hey Bob,

Not sure if your familiar with that train ride, but it's freakin long as hell. There are flights out of JFK and LaGuardia for only $150 on expedia. The time saved makes it more than worth it. Just a thought. Good Luck.

No Baby Yet Mike, Critical is hangin by the cell waiting for the Mrs to ring his chimes...LOL I used to work for Amtrak so I was conssidering the train until I see it takes like a whole day, F that, IF I could fly( Hmmm?) no I wish I could but been on the dole for a while and money is short and tight, a shared ride for 600 miles would definetly work but now I am also realizing that my grandson's visit is that weekend so I may bail out before I even get out of the barn. keep ya posted and be looking for any riders so either I can hookup or give 'em the bad news that I wont be going either way my heart is in the right place... PS Thanks Philybiz for the airline tip
