We have definitely done well this summer. If we were to get one more player I would prefer another center back. I know we have Hughes, Bocanegra, Baird, Knight, Pearce and Christanval, but one more experienced player in this position would make a great summer even greater and make me feel even more comfortable about the upcoming season.

A backup keeper might not be bad either, but I think a center back is the way I would spend the last bit of money. It ALL starts and ends with the quality of our defense this season. Obviously we have improved in that area, but we could improve even more with another player.

Defense Defense and more Defense.. couldn't agree more.

I would like to see another signing. Possibly a back up keeper is needed most, IMO, but I wouldn't be disappointed if LS or MAF didn't make another signing this transfer window. LS has delivered everything he said he would this transfer window and I am estatic.

If this side comes together, builds team chemistry and keeps a few clean sheets... add a bit of luck and there could be a top ten finish in Fulham's future.

I think success this season would be a mid-table finish. Before we can start thinking about top ten / Europe, we should show that we are above the relegation scramble.

Good signings, let's hope they mesh and can get some results!

I didn't see HH to Bolton. I have seen that QPR supporters seem pretty gutted about Cook. At this point, this is more you could have ever hoped for the summer, and am fine with it all. Can't remember such an optimistic time for the club.

Forget about the unbelievable summer signings by Mr. Sanchez and our fearless chairman. Above all I'm shocked, amazed, stunned, saddened, gutted, etc.....that Tibor claimed the coveted 1000th post, to say I'm jealous is a mild understatement (I don't want to make excuses, but...)
Tibor I believe CT and AM have fabulous prizes set aside for the lucky 1000th post, but you'll have to pay shipping and handling.

    Blood pudding?

Cook is a great left side pick-up. I agree with the objective to finish mid-table with this squad - anything above is gravy and anything below means LS should get the sack. Let's see how the squad comes together...but I have optimism, which has been lacking since the Pearce goal against Portsmouth to earn a draw. And my optimism then was that the Whites would stay up!?!

I question why none of the projected starting XI include Deuce. Although he has aspects of his game that need to be refined (i.e. finishing), Deuce should be considered a Premiership gem in the rough. I've never been very high on him as a first teamer until I saw his work with the USMNT this summer. He should get plenty of pitch-time this year for Fulham. Nobody in the midfield is so much better than him so as to keep him on the bench (except Bullard).

    Wow what a summer!

Must say QPR supporters are right to be upset. Can you imagine if we had someone who was a life long Fulham supporter and happened to become our best player only to then leave for Chelsea. That would be absolutely horrendous and thats basically what Cook has just done. They really hate us already, whats that friendly going to be like now!!!

They have my sympathy........but I hope we beat um 6-0 Cook scoring three of them.

Who backs up Cook now? I think Fulham needs another left footed player.

I'd guess Timlin or Queudrue, or maybe Davies/Dempsey in a pinch.

I would say Davies and Dempsey as well. Placing Dempsey on the left would allow him to drift into the middle and put a solid shot on goal with his right foot... same for Davies. Not a lot of cover on the LW spot, but I can't complain, especially with how well this transfer window is going.

For my prize I have decided I would like 3 points at Arsenal on the 12th followed by celebration thread that consists of nothing but dancing bananas.

I think it's a little too soon to talk top 10. We need to give the players a chance to gel, get comfortable playing together and under Sanchez's system.

That being said, I love all the optimism and I love what Fulham have done this transfer period! From here on, anyone else would be gravy. I can't wait for August 12...

I guess HH was smart to reject the West Brom move. Not only does he stay in the EPL with Bolton, he also gets to play in the UEFA Cup. Best of luck to him.
