I'm planning on moving to London next year for grad school/work (and to be with my g/f) and obviously will be supporting the Whites there.....and obviously Mike and others are there....anyone else have any plans at skipping across the pond or are there now? It'd be nice to get a count of who's out there/going there.

Bocanegraman, can't imagine too many others making the move your undertaking (what a great way to get a master's degree). Good luck and let's hope you get to see premiership football at the Cottage next season.

yeah....not exactly an easy move...haha....just was wondering if there was actually anyone else in a similar situation or if Mike was literally the only Fulham yank that's there....but anywho...thanks for the kind wishes!

    Hey Bocaman,
In my instance, I originally qualified for the Highly skilled migrant visa which is based on your education, money you make and work history. Its quite hard to get but it is an option.

For me, I kinda cheated in a way...found a wonderful English (Fulham) chick and married her thus getting a fiance' visa and now have a FLR visa. There is always lots of paperwork involved but in the end, as long as you are organized you should be fine.

I've met plenty of American Fulham fans who live in London this year and many of them work for a company that sent them out here. Probably your best bet for moving to London.

Hope that helps and feel free to ask questions...COYW's

Yeah, at my age, I simply don't have enough experience for the highly skilled migrant program....so my coming out there to stay really depends on if my lady friend (a native Londoner) and I decide to tie the knot or if i go for grad school at either thames valley or ucl....so this next year will tell for sure, but as of now it looks like it'll work out....

Welcome Lito and this forum is fantastic. Good bunch of Fulham supporters.

My brother is in the Air Force as well. He is stationed in San Antonio, TX right now at Lackland AFB. After that I believe he moves onto Montana, but he desperately wanted a move to England to of course watch as many matches as he could.

    Hi bocanegraMan,

I hope you move goes well, if you are planning on catching a lot of Fulham games it may well be worth while investing in a membership card to get preferential ticket treatment - the scheme should be anounced at the end of the month.

    Hi Lito,

Welcome - I am a native Londoner, which means that I am the worse person to talk to as I take the city for granted! I hope your tour goes well and that you get to lots of games. Do you know where abouts in the country you will be stationed?

I hope you both Enjoy your UK experience and if you come then it is worth the effort visit places outside London - there are some fantastic places to drink beer.

    Regards

    GBFC

That is too bad. I am hoping to test out London as a permanent place of residence for the future. I've heard nothing but great things bout the city and I do love football.

Hope your travels go well and you enjoy your time.
