Yeah, from what I remember, he had some really positive things to say about Landon. Really gave him his props for a well played match.

and, like your's truly, he said that every performance like the one against Ecuador points out just how uncommitted he is in many of his other matches.

He was very critical in the pre-game show of Landon's comments that this summer he was much less interested in the CGC and Copa America than in playing for the Galaxy. Waldo said that the captain's armband carries more responsibility than just on match day.

By the way, I feel his comments on Gulati-Bradley were 100 percent accurate -- at the time. My only hope is that the two March matches have changed his thinking and that Bradley gets the "interim" erased.

I can confirm that this is true. But, to tell you how cool Wynalda was, he was like, "No, let him talk." That was until Jon kept going, started talking about stopping a baseball with his face, and wrapped it up with, "I'm not really sure what my point is."

Freakin' hilarious. I'll have to figure out how to download the actual interview. It is even better.

me forgetting my point...just par for the course.

wynalda was a VERY COOL guy. definitely does not deserve the "prick" tag that many have labelled him with.

pcb, thanks for letting me join you. it was an experience i will never forget.

It's my other buddy's, Ryan's, microphone. So I'll need to get the plug-ins, I would assume.

Jon: I think those that label him that way were either the ones who compare him to McBride or those who only listen to his live-game commentary.
    Or both.

Watching him anchor WC06 and on Mike & Mike ESPN2 turned me 180 degrees on my opinion. He was the only one not kissing ass.

PCB: Cant help you there... if you have problems getting it onto the PC, I'd say ask Mike.

Very interested read, indeed. Wynalda was rather candid in his views on American soccer and genuinely wants to make changes for the better. Many cheers for PCB and everyone involved in this interview!

Hilarious, I appreciate the effort to get that chat and weather you agree or disagree with waldo it is still nice to see that people can be blunt and honest about their feelings. To many times we get the same old cliche's. I hope he has the chance some day to give MLS a shot in his direction. Weather thats the right direction only time will tell.

OK, I'll piggy-back everyone else, great interview.
Somebody put Eric in charge of US Soccer, he'll give it a good swift kick in the can.

I played with Eric for over 10 years and grew up with him. You dont need to give him drinks to fire him up, just give the hyperactive gent a candy bar and watch him go postal. Im glad he said that about Jim Rome, Rome is a little bitch who never played a sport or had the stones to do anything but hide behind a mic and talk shit. HE has his moments, but Eric was right about what he said.

Yeah, I just saw it about 10 minutes ago.

So this site has been mentioned on ESPN's website, ESPN, and Jim Rome's radio program. Am I missing anything else?

The Fulham Official site now as well Heather, but for obvious other reasons.

I will pay good $$$ for someone to get the recording of the Sportcenter...seriously.

    Just listened to the Rome interview on his show;

    http://www.jimrome.com/home/articles/article_5.html

He backtracked big time claiming the "I'll club his ass comment" was taken out of context, and implied that the FUSA interview was not a "real interview". Said he was sorry to Rome; that he said it but didn't mean it. Spose he can't help but worry about his job.
