Play of Dempsey

Unfortunately I have been unable to see any games and was wondering how Clint Dempsey has been playing and does he deserve a start soon.

 

Dempsey has not played much of late. In his limited time in the few matches he has played he has done decent, but I am not sure if he has done enough to warrant a start. I am sure one of these weeks he will get a run out for an entire game and until that happens, I do not think anyone can make a judgement one way or another about whether he will succeed or not at Fulham.

I hope he does well, but if Fulham has any position with depth, it is in the midfield and that is why Dempsey has not played much. Give him time though. When McBride came over to Fulham he hardly got off the bench the first few months.

 

I havent gotten to watch lately, either... but from all news and feedback we get he plays with flair, and might become a breakout player.

Tom is right in his assessment that he's not had the opportunity to start because of the sudden surfeit of good midfielders.

However, dont believe -in my opinion- anything about him being not yet, 'match fit' because if he isnt by now, then Fulham made a big mistake in getting him.

 

I was lucky enough to be at the Newcastle match where he played quite well. He hasn’t done much since that. He was invisible in the Spurs FA Cup match. I’m hoping for better showings soon. At this point, IMO, he certainly doesn’t deserve a start.
