Boa Morte to join Spurs in January. According to the "People" anyhow.

Cash plus player? Who's the player? If it's a left wing, let's get him and the cash, and say our goodbyes to The Snake!

I am perfectly fine with Boa leaving. It does not bother me one bit even reading this story.

Sigh. I know he's underperformed this year, but I really admire his game when he's fit and into it. It is bad enough seeing Steed in the wrong black and white!

I understand what you are saying, but I have been waiting over a year to see Boa Morte perform in such a way as you say.

Additionally, if a club is going to come in and offer us some money and a player for his services, I think we would be wise to do business. Boa's best days are behind him in my eyes and for a small club with very little money to spend, this might be a way to get some new player(s) in.

I think what they're saying is that we'd get Routledge (who'se on loan to us) permanently. There had been speculation (but nothing official as far as I know) that if we wanted to, we could buy Routledge after the season. If that's true, and given his spotty play at times, is that much of a bone?

his age is reason enough to make the move. To me, he only needs to improve his consistency. He's shown the ability to turn a match (Newcastle). I think if you get money plus him for currently worthless Boa....you pull the trigger.

If we can get Routledge plus a couple mil then take the deal. Boa has been useless and it would be good for both the player and club if he moved on. Routledge is a class player who just needs to be more consistent. routledge has all the qualities to become a great winger.

Mika is rubbish and we don't need him. Why can't we sign quality players and not keep going after no talent rubbish players just because they are cheap? We need a forward more than a CM that is rubbish.

If rumours are true and the above were to happen, we would have Dempsey and Routledge on the right. Bullard, Brown, and Diop for the middle. But what about Left Winger?

I'd sell Boa if we can get 2 platers to replace him. Preferably Dempsey and this guy from PSV. We need a bigger squad and Boa is not pulling his weight - he needs a fresh challenge.

    Any thoughts after tonight's match?

If he can continue to perform the way he showed us tonight . . .

If he does, I don't think Fulham will sell. If this was a one game thing, then Fulham will have to make the decision to either keep him and try and keep him motivated or sell him for someone else who can be an absolute terror for the opposition in the midfield.

Right now, I'm willing to keep him for a while; fortunately, one game should not decide things.

I have resisted adding to the origianal topic before to give others a chance to air their views. Now seems like a perfect "I told you so!" moment. Below is a post that I made as part of the Arse build up:

Now, next week, he could be shocking again, but he will always try - he always has. He has had a slump and has come back from injury and quite frankly it may be hard to hang on to Luis in January, but I hope we do.

The other thing is that CC is a very loyal manager, I think he prizes effort and club loyalty above performance - Steed went because he no longer wanted to play for Fulham, all the time Boa wants to wear the shirt I believe CC will give it to him.

I am surely in the minority, but I think after a performance like yesterdays now is a great time to cash in on him. His performance was out of this world yesterday, but those great displays by Luis have been few and far between the last two seasons.

It's good that we still have a month until the transfer window opens. Fulham can use this time to find out if we're going to see this Boa on a consistent basis.

Tom, i dont think you're in the minority.

What we're seeing here is a perfect convergence of motivating influences.

Boa's rumoured as on the block, he's playing his old team, he wants to show his wares, the team got up for a big one.

Anyone who thinks this level of performance would carry on to a match against a 15- 20 rank team in February is kidding themselves.

Coleman's comments after the game did make me stop and think. He said Boa showed loyalty to use when big offers were coming in...and now we are showing loyalty to Boa while he is playing badly.

I know one season does not make a swallow, but if Boa 'performs' for the reast of the year then Coleman's decision is vindicated.

Was I too quick to judge? Only time will tell.
