Why is Pacific time the default?

Understand the code was written on left coast but can it be changed to either ET or GMT?

Or does that make upgrades too nit-picky..

    Well, THAT screwed things up.

I went into admin ...changed the default to ET (GMT-5) and the posting times showed the opposite effect.. went to 3 hours EARLIER.

Need to try changing it at upgrade or service time, i suppose.

Petty are you still having trouble moving and/or combining topics on the messageboard? I still am.

Hey Petty, thats strange because for me, it is showing the right coast time. Is it still left coast for you?

The "Posted" date/time and the date/time on the main page are EDT for me. I don't know if that was some option I set when I initially signed up.

Tom, is it EDT or CDT for you? (This message was posted at about 3:25 PM EDT.)

What I'm referring to is the default time displayed to those who havent logged in.

If there's no log-in profile to refer to it defaults to Pacific time.

I changed the setting in the ADmin setup and it went the opposite way I expected.. shown 3 hours EARLIER, rather than ET

And no, I still get the error when I try to move posts or threads, though I can edit others posts.

The admin problem is now fixed... just moved a thread, and the other day, split one. Thanks
