The PS2 version is good. I got the new update so Demsey, Davies, and Smertin were put right to work. Having Montella and McBride actually isn't the best idea. Better to pair them up with H to get some movement in the box to open a header for them. All and all the game plays well. Graphics are updated a bit as well.

Guess I'll have to check the new one out. I've been ridiculously obsessed with the FIFA series for years but am always hearing better things about WE. Tried it once a while back but didn't much care for it, maybe I was wrong.

Terry, u in ROTC? I was in for a year, but have decided to go with the better branch, USMC... ;)

I still enjoy my Fifa '06. The controls are simpler and the career mode menus are much easier to navigate. I could never get the hang of Winning Eleven's controls. There are too many button combinations to memorize. I do agree though, WE's controls feel more natural than Fifa's. In the end, both are good games. It just is a matter of preference.

Good luck, stay hydrated, and keep away from flying bullets I hear those hurt.
