Fulham have made a firm bid for Grazer AK midfielder Rene Aufhauser, according to the Austrian club.

The 29-year-old Austria international is rated at around ?2m, and is also reported to be attracting interest from other Premiership clubs, said to be Everton and Middlesbrough.

GAK general manager Hannes Weninger said: "We don't want to lose him, but Rene has already told us that he would love to accept an offer giving him the chance to play in the Premier League.

"We have been asked [by Fulham] to make a final decision within the next 14 days."

Aufhauser scored against Wales in a World Cup qualifier in Vienna during March, and has also faced Middlesbrough twice this season in the Uefa Cup.

Hmm... my age-corrupted geezer brain put several notes together and thought:

If Crossley is going for loan-out.. and Ed moves out over the summer, then Fulham might be interested in the Crew's Jon Busch.

Which COULD result in Fulham's notable signings for the next season being

    "Aufhauser-Busch"

    That's for you, camel boy
