Boa signs contract extension

    yes, this is great, great news my friends! I was thinking he was on his way out. It is nice to know that there are still some loyal players out there. Cheers to Boa Morte!!!!

    nice new contract extension.....now he can focus solely on the pitch......dead snake forever (and by forever i mean until 2008).

    Ummm.. correct me if I'm wrong, but in my experience a club who seeks and obtains a player buys his contract, not he himself.

    This DOES NOT mean Boa is going to remain till 2008... though, in this case it IS more likely.

    If Sournose still wanted him and made a ridiculous offer, like ManU did for Saha, he would be sold.

    At this point who knows what will happen with Steed. We can hope that he stays, but until Feb. 1st, we cannot be completely comfortable about that situation.

    I read somewhere was half the reason that Hone is gone was because of the fight that he and cookie were having re: selling steed. Hopefully it was the rare instance where a good footy rumor was actually true...

    Newspapers still saying Boa Morte may go to Newcastle - Chris Coleman said he's fed up with the rumour as he has signed with Fulham and that is an end of it as far as he's concerned. - wonder what will happen.?

    When Boa signed and I said if he did that I would buy a new home Jersey with his name and number on it (which I am working on)...now I will make another oath...

    If Boa still ends up going to Newcastle, I will send the my jersey to him with a note thanking him for signing with us through 2008!!!
