Just a quick question, because I've been toying with some ideas about the forum. How do most of you navigate the site?

How many even surf to the homepage (not planning on getting rid of it, just curious)?

How do you navigate the forum?

Do you read all the topics, or just ones in the Fulham News Forum?

I mainly ask this because I usually just hit the view active topics link and go from there. If I were to get rid of some the categories or forums and move the topics into one forum, and we marked topics as not being Fulham or Football related. Do you think that would make easier to post or navigate the site? Personally, one things I hate is multi-clicking to start a thread or reply to a thread...just wondering if anybody else feels the same.

My bookmark is to the forum main page and then I go to View Unread Posts. Can't remember the last time I looked at the homepage. On occasion I'll go back to the forum main page and look up a thread to re-read it.

I start at the homepage and go through recent posts thereafter

as do I. I only use the Forum index if I'm looking for an old thread that's slipped out of site, or if I'm going to create a new one.

The feature I like most on the home page is the slow cycle through the news articles.

Like HD and Nev, I start on the homepage with the recent topic/post list. I only go to the forum page to seek out older threads/topics.

I have my bookmark saved so that it goes right to new posts.

It's about 80-20 between opening to an active topic list on the forum and checking the main page.

Interesting. So I gather some of you use the homepage only for the recent topic list? I am not ditching the home/news part, that does generate traffic for the site. But for those who do use the homepage for the topic list, are you aware that you can do the same thing by hitting the view active topics link on the board index? That's what I do. I don't even go to home site, unless I am making sure everything is operating as it should.

I guess the only good thing about having all the topics organized into different forums and categories is to find old threads easier?

I am the same as those who go to the homepage to see active topics and then visit the forum page to find old threads. I was not aware of the "view active topics" option. I looked at that and it is nice because it has a much longer list than the homepage.

Yes, for me the only use I get from the forum categories is to find old threads. That is important though, but could be done away with if the search for topics button was prominently displayed. People with OCD might also rely on the forum topics for their sanity :p .

Also, I just like the homepage. I like seeing it.
