The question for me is, will we be offloading anyone? Kamara? Kebano? MacDonald? Bettinelli?

This may be somewhat out of the box, but there are two areas where I think we really need to strengthen:

    1) Forward. This is an area that in my opinion was completely overlooked but a huge issue for us last season. He have one on the roster. Yes, it's probably the best in the league but any injuries to Mitro and we're toast. He has a ton of miles on him. Then add the fact we're something like 1W 2D 8L when we concede first shows that we need a different approach, a different look at times.

Sure we have a lot of attacking might on the wings, but IMHO AK, Cav, Knockaert, D-R, Kebano are all practically the same player. We need something different up top.

    2) CM. Matt O'Rielly played fine for his debut, and I'm not certain if Onomah is a CM or a CAM deputizing as a CM, but we're also woefully short at this position. Considering Arter is MIA, Harrison Reed is all we got. Cairney is a CAM. Stef Jo is a gadget player. KMac is a bit past it, and I'm not sure why we resigned him (perhaps he'll transition to coaching?)

Not sure how much one player can help, but it’s a welcome addition to the defense. That’s certainly where we need help. Fingers crossed he can make an impact...and make the entire defense better.

This is not a rumor, just a wish list item, but I would like to see De la Torre get a loan that generates regular playing time. Whenever I see him I like what I see but he doesn’t appear to be close to fighting for regular playing time right now.

Though he seems close enough to make the first team bench and miss out on the PL2 matches. I'm not sure what's better - regular PL2 playing time or practicing with the first team but not seeing the pitch. So yes, maybe a loan to another championship team would be the best thing.

@timmyg Look up a few posts and take a look at Timmy’s list. The longer we go waiting on Mitro’s diagnosis the more concerned I’m becoming. I’m guessing it could be 6-8 weeks. Go one division up, and look for a guy on the bench and get a deal (anyone know if we have a loan slot available?) done ASAP.

We can sign as many loaners as we want but can only put 5 in the match day squad is my understanding. I believe Reed, Reid, Arter and Knockeart are currently Fulham’s only loanees at the moment.

Fulham signed goalkeeper Jordan Archer. He most recently was a backup keeper at Oxford. Prior to that he spent four seasons at Millwall where he was their starting keeper for three of those. Remember that lovely night in 2018 when Fulham beat Millwall 3-0 at the Den? Well unfortunately he was the keeper at that game.

I can't say that I saw Fulham signing a GK. Really makes me think that we've seen the last of Bettinelli (who is currently rumored as a West Ham target).

There's no official announcement, but Sky Sports (https://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre) reports that Terence Kongolo has been signed.

    KONGOLO COMPLETES DEAL

Fulham have completed the deal to sign Terence Kongolo on loan from Huddersfield.

The defender undertook his medical with the west London club on Wednesday.

Word on the street is that signing Kongolo makes Joe Bryan's exit more likely. I'm a big Joe Bryan fan (some people seem to really dislike him) so that would make me sad, but it seems that Fulham rarely keeps left backs very long that I like.

Saw an article on Twitter [I'm not a member, so I can't tag it] saying that De LaTorre may be on his way to Sweden very soon. His contract with Fulham expires in June, and I guess the club doesn't care enough about him to extend his contract.

This would be a bummer, but not entirely surprising. I recall Slav occasionally using him, but think it was more to prove a point to the board. He's probably gotten the most looks under Parker, but hasn't solidified a spot on the roster.
