Holy 1982 Batman!! Almost drove off the road upon finding out and listening to Weezer covering Toto’s #1 hit ‘Africa’ on alternative rock radio.

This kind of thing is helping me get fired up for the upcoming season (and is best played loud). It's Sonny Landreth and his band with Derek Trucks, with some of the best blues slide guitar you'll ever hear. It comes from Eric Clapton's 2013 Crossroads Guitar Festival, and, in case you were wondering, that is NOT Eric on bass. Amazing stuff.

RIP to Pete Shelley, founder of Buzzcocks - my favorite Brit punk band of the 1970's. Singles Going Steady is one of my top 5 albums and this is probably the most popular song from it:

Thanks for posting. We listened to them a lot at one point. Have Singles Going Steady also, but the one we listened to the most is A Different Kind of Tension. I remember Hollow Inside as being my favorite song on that album. Haven't listened to them for a while, so thanks for the reminder.

February 7th is International Clash Day, so this of course!

But shouldn't it be "International The Clash Day"?

While not from Ireland, I don't think you can have a proper St. Patrick's Day without the Dropkick Murphys!

And on a sad note, Dick Dale has passed away.
