So, the biggest transfer news of the day so far is a diminuative MLS'er, albeit the MVP, signing with Toons and Burnley adding a 38 year old stork of a striker. Is that about it? A bit disappointing... But there's still time left...

I know nothing about Håvard Nordtveit except that he's a defensive midfielder and I would say that may be the most important area to improve right now. I don't care for Seri in that position and I hope Nordtveit can work with Chambers to shore up that part of the defense.

I think I'd like to see a back 4 with Nordtveit sitting just in front of the back 4 with Cambers bossing the midfield and have Seri/Cairney playmaking for a front 3 of Sess/Mitro/Babel

Welp, didn't really get what we needed. Overall an underwhelming January window, but remind me the last time there was an overwhelming January window. It'll never happen, but I'd love to see the transfer window run from July 1 to January 31.

You can run the transfer window that long but, unfortunately, we'd still end up with crickets until the last day ended with a surprising and underwhelming move or two.

Why I’ll miss StefJo...because SOMEBODY’S got to do SOMETHING about those pesky, freewheeling, mid-pitch dribblers. Gotta give those guys something to think about.
