So this is our ONLY match during the international break and it's late in the break. I'm wondering how many European clubs with something still to fight for -- like Fulham -- will release their players.

So, does anyone know when the squad will be named? There's absolutely NOTHING helpful on either US Soccer.com or the USMNT Facebook page -- just another case of poor management, I guess.

It is a very young squad but I’m not sure I would call it bizarre. I recognize all the names on the list bar one and most are getting consistent playing time with their respective teams.

Oh the days when Hyndman was tearing up the youth World Cup. Glad to see that McKennie is fit. It'll be nice to see a number of these players on the pitch, but until a permanent coach is hired....

In other news, US Soccer announced their 2018 kits. I'm not sure if I'm just being picky, but I'm starting to wonder if they'll ever put out a kit that I'll truly love.

Several starters I'm looking forward to watching and several more on the bench I wish I was watching.

    Somethings I liked:

    1. The high press.
    2. Tyler Adams engine. The dude is perpetual motion personified.
    3. The Cb pairing with an emphasis on Miazga.
    4. Zach Steffen playing the ball out of the back.

    Somethings I didn’t like:

    1. The lack of attack in the final third.
    2. Bobby Wood as the lone forward.
    3. Nagbe as an attacking wing except for 2 minutes of scintillating play.

I agree with all of these and would also add:
    - the entire midfield trio of Adams, Trapp, and Delgado. Paraguay found it very hard to get their attack through the middle of these three.
    - Villafana didn't hit every attempted cross into the first defender.

    - I read somewhere yesterday that Wood had proven that he could play the single striker position. He did not support that argument last night. He's still struggling - even the penalty that he scored was not well struck.
    - I was not impressed with Sarachan's in-game decisions. The starting lineup and game strategy were sound, but it became apparent in the end that he was more concerned with getting a W under his belt than giving more players an opportunity. He said that he intended to use all 6 subs but only used 4 and made them at 67', 77', 86', and 90'. There were no subs on defense and I really wanted to see Robinson and Moore get some action.

Where's the love for Saief? I thought he was brilliant.

I really enjoyed the match. If we had played with that much discipline and effort in any of our two final qualifying matches, we'd be in Russia this summer.

You're correct Don, Saief deserves some love.

I also forgot another dislike was that McKennie picked up a knock and wasn't able to feature.
