The Little Aeroplane leads Sevilla against Jose's United. I thought he was a brilliant footballer, one of many who just didn't have the physicality required in England.

Had no idea Montella went into coaching. He would’ve thrived in England had he come in his prime, he was well past it by the time he came to us.

and, if you're reading this and the previous comment, have a look at the whole thread. There's a lot of former players whose names will make you smile as well as posters who I miss terribly on these pages.

Don, you keep finding other threads to put this stuff in! However, this one seems like an even more appropriate thread than the newer one we had been using. I'm going to attempt to merge them...

Mah boy Cauley scored his first goal for Barnsley in the first round of the FA Cup. It was described in glowing terms on BBC's football page. I didn't see him on the team sheet until the match before the cup tie when he came on as a substitute. Perhaps the start and goal will lead to more appearances.

Cauley scored two more today in an FA Cup tie. After starting the season not in the game day squad, and then only having two starts, this gives him a total of 5 goals ... one every 77 minutes.

Good to see that result, SCJ, and -- as long as I'm in the neighborhood -- I was so bored this afternoon as to watch a replay of the Eintract Frankfurt-Bourussia Munchengladback match on Fox Sports Plus. It was an entertaining match, but made even better by listening to the dulcit tones of the "color announcer" Moritz Volz.

"He's an alien; a humorous Westphalian. He's a German man in West London."

Watching Borussia Dortmund v. Augsburg now and saw a familiar name in the Augs XI -- Kostas Stafylidis is their LB, and was our regular in that position in the 14-15 season.
