Fulham start the crucial month of February in the West Midlands as they travel to Burton Albion on the 1st. Burton is going to have to fight not to be in League 1 next season. They will play like they did in Sept at The Cottage (organized and counter-attacking). That was a match our lads clearly outplayed the opponents, but in the end needed a late goal by Sessegnon just to salvage a point. The Brewers suffered through a terrible January losing 4 matches in a row w/out scoring a goal before producing a shock win at QPR last time out. They also got a boost as manager Brian Clough has decided to stay on instead of switching to Nottingham Forest. Anything less than 3 points will see the playoff chances starting to slip away. COYW!!

Given our away form this season, I see a W and three points, especially if Joka runs out some of the lads who've been performing so well in the FA Cup competition.

Neither LVC nor Mah Boy Cauley can feature for Burton Albion Wednesday, although I expect their arrival will secure Championship status for the Brewers.

I really don't like that rule. I'm all for playing the players you're paying, regardless. That's one reason I have much respect for Arsenne Wenger. He allows loanees to feature against his team. That's character, and that's really the way it should be. If you drop points and end up out of the playoffs or relegated by that amount of points, well, I just don't see how that's fair. I understand the argument the other way, but it seems more fair to allow them to play if you're paying their wages.

Sigurdsson seems to have disappeared. Guess he's not one of Joka's favs any more.

Most importantly, was that the first time this season we've played in an all white kit?

Only 3 points outside of the playoffs, but it is awfully crowded with 4 teams just 3 points or less from the line. At least we've got that healthy goal differential.

I just like the fact that we're competitive again. Not only competitive, but more than likely a good bet to take the points every time out. Hasn't been that long since we were dreading the next match. Now we all look forward to it. File this result under the "taking care of business" banner. Not our best, not our worst, just getting the job done in workmanlike fashion. That's the mark of a truly good team. Who's next? Birmingham City at Saint Andrew's? Bring 'em on. We owe those bastards, too.
