The San Antonio Spurs are the Fulham FC of the NBA! Really? Well, sorta ...

Home record 4-4; road record 11-0 // last year the Spurs regular season home record was 40-1. Anyone got a guess the person living in San Antonio who has the least amount of concern over this loss of home form? My bet is Greg Popovich. The greatest coach in the history of professional team sports is not troubled in the least.

Oh, we're doing pretty well without Timmy. Aldridge and Leonard are having no trouble sharing the ball. I'd be a bit happier if we hadn't gotten rid of so many of our quality role players, but we got Pop.

Now if we could just get Fulham to be the San Antonio Spurs of the English Championship.

Only argument you'll get from me in the above post is Pop being the greatest coach in Pro sports. He's a great all-timer, but right off the top of my head would rank Lombardi, Bill Walsh, Bill Belicheck, Phil Jackson, Red Auerbach above him. I stick him in with Sparky Anderson, Paul Brown, and a few other names I'll be embarrassed that I've forgotten or the 1 or 2 NHL equivalent.

As far as the state of the NBA, it seems like the Spanish La Liga; Barcelona (Goldent State) and Madrid (Cleveland) with the only real chance to win with the Spurs and Clippers fighting it out to be Athletico. The rest of the league has as much chance to win it as the Washington Generals beating the Globe Trotters

Scotty Bowman and the devious Red Wings of the 90s and 2000s- and that Ferg fella at Manchester Utd. come to mind. Pop is great, hands down, no doubt, and what adds to that greatness in my mind, is that his padawan, Kerr, is manning Golden State
