I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Lewis move was to allow Joronen to go out on loan for consistent playing time.

Disappointed, but I commend him for committing to the club that developed him. Wish some of our younger players would do the same...

...then we wouldn't have much of an Academy.

    Moussa Dembele, purchased from PSG
Emerson Hyndman, purchased from FC Dallas
Patrick Roberts, purchased from AFC Wimbledon
    Dan Burn, purchased from Darlington
Lasse Vigen Christensen, purchased from FC Midtjylland
Marcus Bettinelli doesn't appear to have been purchased from another club.

So that's 1 of the 1st 6 that came to my mind that we didn't take from another club. There is a pyramid in football. We aren't at the top & we aren't at the bottom. But we're also not trying to field a club full of boys raised in Fulham. As such we'll continue to take players from clubs below us & lose some to clubs above us. We'll also jettison players who can't cut it to clubs below us. There's no loyalty or disloyalty in any of it, it's just how professional sports work.

As for Dunk, it would appear he merely wanted more money. A move to Fulham would have been, at best, a lateral move. The one card we had to play was higher wages but Brighton negated that. And so we move on.

So, I guess this is a move to cover Smith's absence? I don't see where we need another forward, but whatever. He just signed a five year deal with Watford last month.

Was there a signing that I missed? I do see the need for another forward but I missed it if Fulham signed one.

I think he's referring to us being linked to Vydra from Watford. Looks like he had 16 goals in the last season for them so it could be a good signing. All I know about him is that he's a really good player in Football Manager.

Vydra is a solid, proven, Championship forward and would be a good addition. With just 4 forwards (I'm not counting Lee Coo....er, Taggart), few of them proven, and one hell bent on playing midfield, there is a definite need for more goals up top. If memory serves, he's not particularly pacey, which is something I think we're missing up top. But I'd take him, especially with Smith's injury.

I've been gone for a while. When did Tim Ream sign?
Any truth to the Gary Hooper link I read about a few days ago? I forget where I read it.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but why hasn't Fulham tried or have we been linked to Zaldes or even Omar from Galaxy?

No such thing dneville80. Zardes has drawn rumored interest from Reading and Brighton in Fulham's division, but from a USMNT fan perspective I think he is in a good place to continue developing. Omar makes a surprising amount of $ (his salary is well over 1 million), so can't see him moving overseas anytime soon.

I don't think either would be good value for money given their importance to that team and MLS. Especially with Omar being a DP. It would take between $5-10 million to get them away from MLS. I also don't think either would want to leave LA to play in the Championship. I wouldn't be shocked if Zardes did try Europe at some point, but it won't be in the Championship.

Oh ok. I'm never sure of all the things when it comes to DP and all. Still learning. I didn't realize Zardes was that sought after.
