I agree. I was involved in a Facebook discussion with a half-dozen songwriters, and none of us could imagine writing a song without musical influence. One writer -- who makes a tidy bit of cash writing original "will you marry me" and "Guess what I'm pregnant" songs -- says she's constantly asked to "write a song in the style of ... ."

As a blues hound, if people started suing because of chord progression, tempo and repeated lyrics, 99% of the songbook would be eliminated.

For the USMNT, the second half defense seems like the hardest button to button.

An excellent (and appropriate) choice Nev. Perhaps we'll see Meg and Jack share a stage again someday.

Well, a 4-1 scoreline can land a person in many places or situations, but Fulham is headed to, if not already posted up, here:

Love the cartoon, but I thought I should point out that I have a Bizarro cartoon from 1997 (on my fridge) with the same joke except that the dog plays Truckin' instead of Casey Jones. Tsk tsk Mr. Sipkess.

Always loved BB's facial expressions - mimicked the licks perfectly.

Took my boy to see the Quakes defeat the Crew 2-0. Great time, but yet, it made me think of this:

I was pleased that the judges on Voice did 'The Thrill is Gone." last night
It was great...even Blake got into it but you do notice he's doing well with blues artists, lately.
    Christina was AMAZING!

I don't know if y'all have heard about the record-breaking rainfall and floods in South and Central Texas over the last few days, but here's the only good thing to ever come out of combining the word "flood" and the word "Texas."

In honor of Mr. Ringo Starr's HOF induction. (Even though I think Paul plays drums on this one...yeah, I'm that guy, doh!) George Martin and his strings...
