I wasn't aware of an option either, in the summer press reports they only mentioned there being one year left with Fulham.

Regardless, Fulham have really made a bad situation worse. If they didn't get the contract in order, they just sent a signal to every potential signee that this could happen to them. This isn't the 1st time this has happened. Sigh.

I have less, and less and less evidence to refute this in the past 18 months. (scratching head profusely).

I don't know if the option is fact or fiction at this point but if it does exist I don't think Bryan or his agent will be at all happy if it is excised.

I hope he's on the pitch come the weekend

So the deal was late by 1 minute? Ouch.

After reading this, I'm doubting Fulham did this intentionally. Seems like all 3 parties didn't do due diligence on seeing this through.

I hope we see Bryan and his World Cup form for FFC but I doubt it.

Not that I am wishing Ruiz away but isn't there an east coast city that has a large population of individuals of Costa Rican heritage? I am thinking DC draws a large away crowd when the Nat's play Costa Rica. Is that correct Heather?

I think he would do quite well in MLS. I wouldn't mind that move for him, assuming (of course) he's done in a Fulham shirt.

Costa Rica is such a nice place they don't have much motivation to leave. From Wikipedia:
I was in Costa Rica last year and the most negative thing I heard from a Costa Rican was "Fulham? Oh, we hate Fulham!" I imagine that sentiment has only gotten worse in the past week.

Kit says he's back for the rest of the season.

A little surprised since there were reports he was angry at FFC for delays in the transfer, but then there was this:

    But will not start tomorrow:

"Since 1931 only 57,661 Costa Ricans have immigrated to the United States."

Based on what I saw during my brief visit there a few years back, the amount of people emigrating from the US to CR easily equals that level and is probably higher.

Very telling MicahMan, Did you ask 'pourqui?' I assume Costa Rican's are upset the captain of Los Ticos and probably the most famous and popular current athlete has had his club career derailed somewhat.

Yes, it was primarily because Fulham stunk it up last year and it was embarrassing for him to be associated with a team heading for relegation. They thought he deserved better than Fulham and Fulham didn't even seem to appreciate him.

There's also a twitter rumor that he's going to Celtic. Now THERE's a joke.

We need to put him on the pitch for every match until the season ends and try to re-sign him. If we lose him, I think we just need to thank the idiot who sent him out on loan January.

I hope Don is right but it sounds like too many bridges were burned & Bryan's best is probably in the rear view, at FFC anyway.

I don't understand why he doesn't understand not giving his best for us hurts himself more than it hurts us. I'd be out there busting my butt to earn a great deal this summer with a club I WANT to be with. He doesn't seem to get that. Seems pretty obvious to me that this is his last semester with Fulham.
