Blink and realize that it's almost to the midpoint of the season.

We've managed to claw our way back to a respectable place in the table and now it's time to start looking up instead of down. Wednesday is one spot above us, so this will be a crucial match if we want to continue our climb.

We travel to league-leading Bournemouth (24 points in their last 10 matches, yikes) next, so have to target this one as an opportunity to pick up some points.

BeIn won't have it on TV and we'll see about Connect. I'll set my alarm for 7a and will try to join everyone in chat (though I put the chances of actually making it in the 50-60% range).

Sheffield Wed. is a strange team. They've won twice as many away matches than at home (4 to 2) and have a +4 GD as oppossed to a -5 at home, so the Owls are obviously a confident group. Gotta think the lads will be motivated to give the home support a better performance than the last time out at the Cottage. While Wed. have four wins they only have one draw to go along with 5 losses, so the odds are good someone will snag all 3 points. 3-2 to the Good Guys

We need a 180 from the Watford performance, that's for sure. Even if we get that, as has been noted earlier, this team thrives on the road. Let's hope the journey to SW London tuckers them out a bit, or at least gives them a different vibe than the one they've had on enemy pitches til this point. Otherwise, it could be another long day by the Thames. Betts should be back, so it'll be interesting to see who Kit starts in goal. I can't imagine he'll go with Mr. Sweatpants but hey, stranger things have happened. And what other changes might we see? Taggart? Kacaniklic? Burn back in? Tunnicliffe? (although I don't think he's actually returned to Motspur yet).
    Oh, the humanity!

Can't imagine Bournemouth in the Prem. They were yo-yoing between the 3rd & 4th division when I started following English football.

Think we're due for a draw despite the fact that it's unlikely given Wednesday's road form.

Bournemouth have only spent 5 seasons above the third tier, and their newly remodeled stadium holds just 12,000, but they play wonderful football and are very much the most in-form team in England. Until they lost to Liverpool yesterday, they had gone 12 matches unbeaten -- including a victory over WBA in the League Cup.

They'd be an even bigger underdog story than Burnley if they can pull it off.

Bournemouth & Brentford? Would be crazy if one or both made it. However, it's only December.

4 goals & a clean sheet...and 2 wins on the bounce as well as a convincing Cottage victory. Woohoo!

If the season would have started on September 27, Fulham would be in third place right now.

It's a good thing all those weirdos are signing in. Otherwise there'd be hardly any traffic on the site these days.

Good win; I can't wait to watch it on the official

I have to admit my interest has taken a huge hit without being able to watch on TV. It's just not the same listening to an extremely biased view of how the Whites are playing via radio. And there really isn't a lot of coverage in the media as well. I could read the opinions of others who were there, but I prefer to see for myself. I've got other interests, health issues, and family that have cut into my free time. I'm just not really sure if we'll make it to next season with the site...unless there's a miracle promotion. Even without it, there will still be the Facebook group and Twitter.

And, please, if anybody wants to take over anything or pitch in and help let me know.

I thought you were making a general state of affairs comment. My apologies if you were taking a swipe at someone in particular. But I think interest in Fulham across the board as taken a nose dive since playing in this league and the reality of their going to be here awhile has set in. Plus we can't see who is playing well and who isn't. It's frustrating we don't have really much to go on.

Here's something to cheer everyone up. Highlight's from yesterday's match! (Or if you'd like the whole thing: http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2014/december/21/sheff-weds-replay)

What a free kick from McCormack! What a save by Bettinelli! What a counter attack from Christensen! And what a classy finish by McCormack to let Woodrow have the PK.

Loved, loved, LOVED everything about that penalty! Love Ross for being a great teammate, and loved Cauley's confidence and technique! Kid showed us how special he can be. No nerves, struck it beautifully and sent the keeper the other way. In the immortal words of the Beastie Boys, "... keep it going keep it going full steam."

Ross was awesome - class act with the penalty. I can't remember a recent attack like the Christensen led break, that was pretty. Those highlights reveal a very different squad than I recall from the start of the year. There's still time for a playoff push...

BTW, my son's club team has kept me out of the chat this year most of the time (plus I'm a jinx in there anyway). And he bagged 5 goals in a 7-6 win this weekend (just to let you know for shits and giggles).

You're not a jinx Nev. I think I am, everytime I try to listen they seem to play mediocre. Last game it sounded like they played poorly the first half hour or so, I got pulled away from the match and poof they score 4 goals. I think I may have to stay away for awhile until I am convinced I am not a jinx. :)

Congrats to you and your son. Sounds like he loves the game. :)
