Aron Johannson finally back in training for AZ after ankle & groin surgeries. AJ hasn't played since Ghana.

Jozy wants out and JK is acting as his agent in that endeavor.

    A couple of injuries:
Michael Bradley (isn't Canada abroad? o_O) underwent foot surgery. Apparently he has had foot issues for awhile. As long as there isn't a lingering issue this might fall under the silver linings dept. It's time for Michael to take an extended break, dude has been non-stop for a few years.

Joe Corona broke his foot and likely out until January. Tough luck for one of the younger players who has been getting an opportunity to play for Tijuana and subbed in for the last US friendlies.

That's interesting about Bradley. It might explain his relatively poor form in Brazil, although, according to FIFA's experts, he ran his a** off. Hope it went well and that there are no problems with healing and recovery. Foot surgery can be tricky. Things don't always go well in terms of timetables with foot and ankle issues, so I hope he recuperates fully and on time. And he does, indeed, need a break, Joe. I still think he'll be a linchpin for us in Russia in '18.

Once again, with Birmingham struggling for survival, Shea can't get on the bench. I watched his first match with them. Despite his rust, we was exciting, creative, and committed. He was cheered off the pitch when he was subbed out [exhausted]. Since then, he's played less and less until he's not playing at all -- this on a team that needs the skill set he possesses.

Brek Shea is the ultimate million dollar body with a 50 cent brain. It's a shame to watch him waste everything he possesses out of … I don't know -- laziness, self-centeredness.

Aron Johannsson finally getting near the pitch, glad to see that AZ has been very careful with him and not rushed his return.

    Gooch signs on with Charlton.

Jozy actually got on the pitch for 30 minutes when Fletcher got hurt....the vertical stripes ain't helping! He looks like he hasn't pushed himself away from the dinner table lately (easily 10-15 lbs more than he should be).

Alejandro Bedoya scored a beast of a goal against PSG on Saturday.

Aron Johannsson also scored over the weekend.

But it wasn't all good news as it looks like Terrence Boyd tore his ACL in the same knee that he had the partial tear this summer.

Even though he could never find a place on the MNT and looked to be on his way out in August, Sacha Klejsten has worked his way back into the lineup and has been starting and playing the full 90 in Champions League play for Anderlecht.

Has been a pretty bad season for the European based players, so it's nice to see John Brooks progressing; http://www.espnfc.com/hertha-berlin...ed-as-world-class-after-hertha-berlin-victory

Aron is hugely important to the next cycle. Glad to see the ankle surgery is behind him and he is picking up where he left off.

I almost forgot that we had any Americans abroad (outside of Klinsmann's band of German/Americans).
