I don't care if a manger hits every branch falling out of the ugly tree, can he win matches? That's all I care about. Handsome Roy won me over with the team's performances on the field, and my expectations are high.

I think that somewhere on this site I said the same thing as Mo about Hughes' looks. Mo's think alike I guess. Face it, when he is not on your side Roy just looks like a schoolmarm. Of course being 20 years younger helps too.

a schoolmarm...hahaha. that could be true, but man was he hot when he was on our sidelines! ;-)

Back to the thread however, Roy responds to MAF.

"I'm a bit disappointed that the excellent relationship I had with Mohamed Al Fayed has taken a knock back because of my decision but I can only thank him for the two-and-a-half years [at Fulham]."

"I suppose in some ways I would've been a bit disappointed if he had said, 'Well, we didn't want him anyway, he can go', so the fact that he's had a bit of a pop at me is more flattering than if he had shrugged his shoulders and said, 'Who cares anyway?'."

Roy is a good man who certainly turns the other cheek. Good luck Roy!

    Liverpool and Roy

The Liverpool ownership situation is getting interesting. Looks like they will be bought by an investment branch of the Chinese government. I cant see how that is a good investment of a country's money, but then what do I know. Yet another way China is taking on American debt. At least in this case it wont mortgage away our future.

Oh, and despite the scouser affiliation, Roy is still awesome.

Also says the new owners will give Roy 150 million pounds to spend.

thanks for posting that about Mo. I love Roy and will be cheering on the Scousers when they are not playing us. I love how he is bringing accountability back to the players.

Woy, Woy, Woy -- I say again, I was glad to hame Woy for the 2 1/2 years we did. I will NEVER pull for Liverpool.

But for 36 games next year, I hope Woy comes out on top.

Is it me, or does Woy sound a lot like John Wooden if Wooden traded in one roundball for another? Both are people that made me wish I had more skills, just so I could play for them.
