Wow, there were some great goals from the lads. Clint v Stoke, Duff v Everton, and Gera v Citeh were fantastic, but I think a goal from the Europa has to be the pick. Torn between Simon and Clint's, but voted for Davies this round.

Notice that the screamer that Duff scored that's a feature of all the EPL programs run over here is NOT on the list? Also, Murphy's pick-pocket steal and 30 yard screamer againse United isn't in there either. Also, more than a few Fulham sites have said that -- given its importance and quality -- if Drogba or Rooney had scored goal #1 rather than Davies, it would have been heralded as the goal of the decade.

We have some rich ore to mine here.

With respect to Hamburg, they are no Juventus. Add to that, the audacity of even trying the shot, and on top of that making it!
    No contest.

Overall, Clint v. Juve, no contest.

In the league, of the nominated goals, Clint v. Pool. They were at 9 men at that point, and nothing beats kicking a big team like that when they are down  .

Also, Murphy not getting any love for abusing Paul Scholes? Come on now.

Wow, I somehow forgot all about Murphy's goal v. Man Utd.

No disrespect to Davies goal, it was indeed beautiful, but, as I said previously, I'm going with Demps v. Juve b/c: 1) it was the winner; and, 2) damned if I ever see anything like it again considering the circumstances.

It is the circumstances that make the juventus goal, but take the circumstances out of it and I prefer his Stoke goal.

Tough call between the Demps/Juve and Davies/Hamburg goals as I had the honor to see both of them in person. Both were absolutley beautiful and meant a shedload to the team.

Went with Demps, 1) I was in the Hammy end and had a perfect view of the chip v. the Putney end for Davies' goal (I did not find out who scored for like 10 minutes due to the pandemonium) and 2) in the case of a tie breaker, got to go with the boy from NacaNoWhere, TX.

Loved watching the highlights tho, got a few chills from the memories. What a bad ass season.

Gotta rub it in, huh! :D You are the only member of our merry little band of fulham supporters that can make that claim (except for maybe American Mike, and he doesn't count since he's an employee). You are one lucky son-of-a-gun.

I thought there were one or two other FUSA members that made it over for those games (RDG for Hamburg?).

Yeah but that is all over now. Just a regular Joe, all back of da bus n'at...chasing grainy/illegal feeds, tape delays and avoiding scorelines, the chat room, GJ, or nothing at all. Actually had good practice because if I wasn't at the game and Fulham were not playing one of the big boys... good luck finding them on the telly. And yes, I was very fortunate/lucky.

Yeah, we're just all going to have to be jealous of somebody else. Matches at the Cottage and living in Henley ... life was rough for you there for a while. :D

Well said. But I'm going with Clint v. Juve. All of those goals are great, but other than Gera's winner against Hamburg, Clint's was the most significant. What a momentum shifter as well, I know this team never gave up and believed in themselves- but that was what probably made them collectively feel they could move mountains.

Like in POY, it's great to see a season in which the best goal is such a debate- especially because so many of the goals were significant rather than coming in dreary 3-1 losses away to mid-table teams...

Big Ups to Clint, really hard to argue against it. Biggest surprise is Gera v Citeh getting second (the goal was amazing, but the game situation wasn't), beating out Davies v Hamburg and Martin's pick, Bobby Z's strike v Shaktar.
