Tuesday! Be there or be there with Gold. Watford are looking mighty good these days, leading the "we're just here to give the big six somebody to play against" league. The Luton upbringing forces me to hate them, although I admire Troy Deeny's play and leadership.

Ream and Mitro should be back, but really the only ambition left for me [us?] is finishing ahead of Huddersfield.

I'll watch, but I'm not looking forward to it. I'm not sure what that says about me as a fan. Am I loyal or stupid?

We do only one thing well and that’s conceding goals, we are brilliant in that department. Kills me to hear the announcer on tv come up with a new stat that highlights the ineptitude. This from the Citeh match; first top flight team to give up at least 2 goals in 12 consecutive league matches since the ‘77 Newcastle squad..SMH

Elton John’s favorite team will give us a beatdown.

It pains me to say this, but if Fulham loses on Tuesday Fulham is relegated. We all know it is just a matter of time, but it will be official if they get their 9th loss in a row. If the Whites lose, Fulham will have 17 points with 5 matches left. That means they will only be able to earn 32 points for the season which is behind the 33 points of the three teams outside of relegation.

Yep, Huddersfield was officially relegated earlier today. They tied Derby County's record of earliest relegation (after 32 matches). At least there's one record Fulham won't obtain this season.

I would really like to see Scott try something...anything...different defensively.
Whether that be a change in personnel or formation or both. And I don’t mean Fabri for Rico in goal. I want one of the kids. Luca Ashby-Hammond or George Wickens. It’s time to give Steven Sess a big boy runout too.
I agree with Don about Troy Deeney. Always admired his play and the way he goes about his business representing that club. We’ve sucked even worse on the road this season, if that’s even possible, and there’s really no reason to believe that will change. If Parker really wants this job, he’s going to have to try something pretty drastic here to get a draw, much less a win. Otherwise we could well end up losing out. And yes, including to Cardiff at home on the 27th.

Scott Parker had to take the reigns at Fulham while facing three of the top six teams in his first four matches. This looked like a rough stretch in the schedule even during our hopeful days prior to October 20th (the loss to Cardiff when relegation started to feel like the probable outcome) so I'm not sure he's had a fair shot yet to show what "could have been" for Fulham. The last six matches starting with Watford are his best chance to prove he could have done something better with Fulham than the previous two managers. He'll need players who actually give a damn, so for that reason alone he should give some younger guys a start.

Par for Fulham over the next 6 matches would be 7 points - wins at home vs Cardiff and Newcastle, and a draw at home vs. Everton. Parker could make a claim for being the best manager Fulham had this year if he could add to that Fulham's first road win (vs. Watford, Bournemouth, or Wolverhampton) and bring the total to 10 points. 10 points in 10 matches for Parker would be 1 point per match - the pace usually good enough to avoid relegation. That would be a statement that he's the man to try and take Fulham back up.

Sadly, if I had to make a prediction, I think Fulham will only eek out 4 more points and shuffle off to the Championship without a clear direction on what happens next.

Not Today! We will not be relegated today. Parker sees his first 3 points. Like HD said, Watford has played the 3 of the top 5 in the last month and continue advancing in FA. They have a very winnable match Saturday against Wolves to in FA semi's and coming off a ManU defeat Saturday. They will be resting and preparing for Saturday. 3 points!

How was starting Christie, Fosu-Mensah, Le Marchand, Chambers, and Bryan along the back line against Man City not different??

Something different maybe? The website is showing a 3-4-3 formation this week:

Rico (I'd really like to see something from Fabri again before we close out this season)
    Ream, Le Marchand, Chambers
    Bryan, Anguissa, Cairney, Christie
    Sessegnon, Mitrovic, Babel

Subs: Fabri, Odoi, Fosu-Mensah, McDonald, Kebano, Schurrle, Seri

No young ones to be found in the lineup. I hope guys who've been given roster spots don't look like they have checked out.

It ultimately doesn't matter, but the xG for this match was 1.59 (4) to 1.91 (1). Oy vey.

Parker got out coached today. After an even, if not favorable, first half, Javi Gracia made two tactical subs at half time and Watford ran away with it. After outshooting them 9-5 in the first half, we got outshot 8-10...with five of the eight shots after the score was already 4-1.

This has been a truly miserable season with few highlights. Our defense is terrible. We've scored >1 goal just one time in 20 matches, and twice in 25 matches.

While there were many negatives from the match I will recount the one thing that did bring me some cheer: the away fans. They were at their best when Holebas continued to harass Sessegnon after fouling him and earning a yellow card. I could clearly hear the Fulham supporters singing "He's one of our own! He's one of our own! Ryan Sessegnon is one of our own!" Thanks for sticking up for the kid.

Just to have a record of the moment...
