Thanks @SoCal I'm not on facebook but my wife is. Seems like there will be a meet up Friday at the Golden Lion. Will keep the other dinosaurs like me posted here!

I"m very jealous. I kept looking for reasonable flights and just not going to be able to make it work. We're moving next week and the stress of both was getting to me. Not to mention, I had in my head the whole time "they lost the only time you saw them in london and every time you've watched this year." So, i'm not jinxing this and will stay glued to the phone and not sending any bad mojo out.

Fulham has sold all of their 38,000 tickets. I'm surprised that Fulham sold out before Aston Villa who still have 400 to go. Granted, most Villa supporters have to travel further but Birmingham isn't that far!

So that means they sold a total of 76,000 tickets and using @astroevan 's numbers that means there should be about 14,000 seats remaining. I don't know if some of those are for neutrals or if they might release a few more upper deck seats.

Going to miss the meet up on Friday unfortunately as I will be staying outside of the city Friday evening. Thanks for the heads up, will keep my eye out for other meetings on Saturday. I plan on getting to Wembley fairly early on Saturday and will try to hit one (or 3) of the Fulham friendly establishments for sure. If anyone has sorted a firm place around the grounds they plan on going to, please post it. Off to the airport in a couple hours. Bringing my old ticket for good luck.

When your sat in row zed (see row in image above) and the ball hits your head, that's Zamora.

Funny thing is that almost happened to me once :)

Not sure, but most, if not all, of those 14,000 must be for Club Wembley members. It’s for the high rollers: pay a hefty fee or membership dues or for a seat license or whatever they call it, then you have the right of first refusal for purchasing tickets for every event. Most of them seem to try to resell them, but they’re pricey. 396 pounds for a single ticket with all the extras. And no wearing of either team’s ”colors.” (Isn’t white the absence of color?). Anyway, if you want to go badly enough....

Then that probably explains the middle sections during the FA Cup final that were almost entirely empty as the second half started. Getting a pint and a pie was more important for them.

Or pretty much any match you watch on TV there. I've noticed most of them only use 1/3 to 1/2 of the seats there. Although there are a lot of high profile events there, I'm not sure why you'd want to invest in something like that. England haven't been a World Cup threat in, well, forever, and unless you love friendlies, rugby and most all popular music these days, I honestly don't know why you would spend that kind of money for a venue with no real home tenant. Trying to unload tickets at face value is more trouble than it's worth, which is why you see so many empty seats. It's the same at a lot of places, I suspect.
