Snipits from Jokanovic's post game interview after facing Wolfsburg
I don't get this at all. We heard similar frustration from him last year, but I kinda thought he had "won" the debate after his success last season. Given the situation I'm a little surprised he's decided to stick with Fulham since he's clearly bothered by his lack of input. Maybe he's overstating the issue in an attempt to pressure others to make decisions - I can't tell from just reading stuff from the other side of the Atlantic. Regardless, this does not give me a sense of confidence with just a week to go.

We've got a new striker. Fulham has signed Aboubakar Kamara from SC Amiems - a team that won promotion to League 1 for the first time this season. Someone nicely put together this highlight reel:

Looks like he's got some pace and a nice goal celebration.

I agree, this is not in line with Slav's attitude, a little moaning about not signing strikers is one thing, but to choose this as your post game talk after a difficult match against Wolfsburg doesn't sit well with me. Its tough, because as a club you want stability and not be at the mercy of your manager, but shit, nothing has spelt stability like J-O-K-A-N-O-V-I-C for us over the last 4 years. So what do you do? If you're Tony Khan, you apologize and pull out the check book. Shad Khan did good business this year, still cracking the top 100 of Forbes list...just invest the money my man. Its coming back 10 fold when Sessegnon and Aluko fire us back into the top flight!

    Cmon you whites....

Also, dont let Kevin McDonald go, he is literally the exact kind of player you need to battle through the Championships.

    Cmon....

Slav may not be thrilled with the business model, but you can't argue with the results. Until we start trending the other way, I ain't worried about it. He'll leave eventually, let's enjoy it while he's here and willing to put up with it. Do you like everything about your job? Me neither.

We've lost Piazon, but we've gotten another young offensive minded player on loan from a major Premier League club: Sheyi Ojo from Liverpool

He wasn't on loan and didn't play much with the first team last season since he was recovering from a back injury sustained in the Summer of 2016. Hopefully he's fully recovered and ready to go.

I forgot that Ojo played for the England squad that won the U20 World Cup this summer, so he certainly should be ready to go. He came on as a sub in the 54th minute when they were down 1-0 to Italy and helped them score three unanswered goals to win. If he didn't get assists on two of the goals he was at the very least a key player on those two. Here's just about every touch he had in the match with Italy:

There's still quite a bit of time in the window, so we probably aren't done yet, but I don't see how anyone can have any complaints about our business. Keeping most of our team together, especially signing Ryan Sessegnon and extending Tom Cairney, getting Kalas and Piazon back on loan, plus adding these guys, has been huge. The club, and specifically, the Khans, have shown great intent and ambition so far. We may yet still lose Sessegnon, Cairney, Aluko, whoever, but the signal from this owner is this: we're serious about promotion, and we'll spend significant, but not excessive, money to achieve it. Whether or not the players we invest in work out or not, we just can not be anything but optimistic about Shad's investment in the club. The only thing that can upset the apple cart is the Tony Khan/Craig Kline "sabremetrics" model. But I'm still bullish on our club. Just look at some of the other clubs with hellish owners spending NOTHING. You won't be seeing any "KHAN OUT!" signs at the Cottage.

Fulham has signed 22 year-old left back Rafa Soares on a season-long loan from FC Porto. Soares has never actually played for Porto's first team, but has been on two previous loans and made numerous appearances for Portugal's international youth teams. He's got a bum ankle so he won't be available until after the September international break. According to Wikipedia (with no attribution) he likes to go by Rafa

A two year old, but nicely put together highlight reel:

Looks like Aluko is headed for Reading. 7.5 million pounds is a good chunk of change, but I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Sone's dribbling ability is very, very good. He's got an uncanny ability to shake himself free, sometimes from multiple defenders. Yes, his shooting is not the best, but he makes things happen. We'll see how this one works out. Sorry to see him go. I don't think we contend for promotion last season without him.

Love Sone's work rate and hate to see him go, but $7.5 is quite a bit for a player on his last year of his contract. Let's see IF that $$ is used to bring in one of the names being rumored.

It is official now, Sone is headed for Reading: http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2017/august/29/sone-aluko-reading-move

This is a pretty good deal financially for the team since they got him on a free transfer and now get to pocket a few million pounds. I agree with Jump that he was key to our success last season, but I feel like we've got a few options that could step in and fill the gap he leaves. Plus we've got some cash for the closing hours of the transfer window now.

Of everyone who left I still miss Malone the most.

Fulham has signed French winger Yohan Mollo: http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2017/august/31/mollo-joins-fulham

Most recently he was at Zenit St Petersburg where his most notable action was when he gave the St. Petersburg fans the middle finger. Russia is sadly known for its homophobia and after an Instagram photo showed him being kissed on the head by a man (he says it was a joke, not that there's anything wrong with it!) the fans started calling him a "faggot". He responded with an appropriate gesture but got a two game ban for the move. Just yesterday the contract he had with Zenit was terminated so he came free. http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2017/08/02/russia-has-banned-a-footballer-who-suffered-homophobic-abuse/

Based on the reel below (hard to call it a highlight reel since it includes some suspect passing) he seems a bit stockier than your typical winger. At first glance this almost feels like a Magath-esque signing, but I'll have faith in the powers that be since they've done pretty well recently.

Fulham has signed another winger, Jordan Graham on loan from Wolverhampton. He tore his ACL in January of 2016 and has barely played since then so he's a bit of an unknown quantity right now. http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2017/august/31/graham-in-on-loan

Again, I'm not going to be critical of this signing, but this is not one of the names we wanted to see. It feels like a Christmas morning where you have your hopes set on a big present, but all you find are socks. I hope the Red Rider BB-Gun is still to be found.

I choose to look at it this way. We kept and resigned Cairney. We kept and signed Sessegnon. We got Piazon and Kalas back on loan from scum. And we still have Slava. Think of it as a big birthday present and not so big Christmas.
