Well, I don't have a lot of interest in keeping things running here. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of activity and interest from others as well for the site....so this is the possible end of fulhamusa.com, unless someone wants to take over everything? The site will last probably a few months until the web host shuts everything down due to lack of payment. After that we can talk all things fulham in the FUSA facebook group.

Well, it will be a sad day if and when the site goes away - many good years of fun and I was fortunate to connect with many great people over the years. I can help with payment for the site, but I cannot run a website. If anybody else has the ability to take over for DCH, please let us know. DCH, shoot me a pm, please.

I can't run a site either, and I'll be sorry to see it go. You've done Yeoman service over the years, Senator, and I don't think anyone will think less of you.

One thing, though, since I recently lost about 95% of my written word archives, give me a couple of weeks or so to download copies of my Views. And bless you!

Yeah, I was remiss in failing to offer my thanks for running this place - thank you, DCH.

It is indeed a sad day. This place was instrumental in growing my appreciation for Fulham and football, in general. And that's due to everyone here.

Heather - thanks for all your hard work, expense, and dedication.

No goodbyes from me as I hope to see you all in the Facebook group.

Also a big thank you to you Heather! And really a thank you to everyone who's been part of this forum. I'm a relatively recent participant, but this is by far my favorite group of Fulham fans. You are a thoughtful bunch that helped me understand what was happening with the club every week. I hope we can keep it going at Facebook if this is the end of this site.

I work with websites in my day job, so I could take over management responsibilities. However, I've also noticed that participation has been slipping. If this is the right time to close things up, so be it, but if there is still enough support to keep it going I can handle the backend.

That would be great if it works for you. I'll continue to contribute, and our MLB, NHL, MLS, NFL, etc. pages should still get some traction even during the offseason.

Of course, you're not as attractive as Heather, but ... .

If it helps, I'll post a picture of Ryan Gosling as my profile photo.

Someone with knowledge can PM me so I can get more details.

I will get in touch. It's not hard, but considering the lack of visits and posts to site...I just wonder if it's worth keeping it up? Facebook is free and requires no maintenance on our part. We could even do a closed group there.

First, a big thank you to Heather for the years of upkeep!! (cue the old bowdown icon). I would certainly chip in on the financial side to keep it going, if Micah wants step in. Without question the drop in division and just as importantly the struggle in the two years in the Championship has hurt the US fanbase. To paraphrase Yannis on FB after the Forest match 'Fulham fan for life, but even I question my sanity sometimes'. The big problem I have with FB, is it's one or two sentences at most and a 'like' button.

OK, @MicahMan, you're now an Admin. Once you log in you'll see an Admin gear icon in the upper left corner. Please have a look around in the backend of the site and PM me with any questions.

Everyone, please be kind to the new Admin.;)

Thank you for your wonderful work @dcheather!!! It's greatly appreciated across all of the members and non-members alike.

And thank you to everyone who participates on this board! I don't throw a lot of posts down as I tend to leave that to the experts ;) but this is where I come FIRST to get my FFC information, especially now that we are in the Championship and watching the games in real time is near impossible. I'm on here pretty much every work day so I would miss this place greatly if it were to go away!

Thanks to @MicahMan for offering up your services on web management! If there's anything other than the web side of the house that I can do to help keep the doors open, please let me know.

    hear! hear! All around.

Cheers to @dcheather! Cheers to @MicahMan! F facebook!

Like encore, I do not post a whole lot, but I love reading (most) everything here. I am on facebook and a part of the FulhamUSA group even but, even though it is a "social" site, it doesn't foster the community feel that this website provides.

And even though my wife tells me that I spend too much time on a computer, I will happily contribute in any way possible.

    Cheers.

Greet the New Admin ... same as the Old Admin.

If there's a whip round to defray some expenses, I'm in.

Whether this is the end or not, I'd like to express my utmost appreciation for Heather keeping this place going for as long as she has. Hopefully someone else can pick up the reins. I'm not interested in the Facebook side (or as I call it, Russ Goldman's personal billboard) for many reasons. But if not, I can only look in the mirror & recognize my interest has diminished greatly as well. I still check the site most days just to see what's said & I'll miss this community if it ends.

However, FFC has pretty much lost me at this time. It happens. I'm a lifelong Orioles fan, but there was a long spell there where I didn't give them much thought because the franchise was poorly run, the performances were mostly dreadful & I was rarely able to watch them anyway. I'm there with Fulham now. It's not just the losing. I started following this club during the Great Escape years where we survived on late goals by Dempsey v Liverpool & Murphy v Pompey and those days were exhilarating. The difference though, is that in those days it felt like we were mostly outmanned but we fought. I liked players on that team, even the ones that weren't good enough. I don't feel that for the squad these past few years. I honestly could care less if any player leaves the club & frankly hope that many do. I'll keep an eye on it and hope someone at FFC starts to turn it around, but until then, I find it difficult to find anything to say & contribute to a website.

Yeah, I suppose Fulham has me in a funk as well. It's hard rooting for this group of players and find myself just going through the motions. And I find this happening across the board with all sports. The passion isn't there anymore. I really don't even care how well the US team does or doesn't do.

Ag, your comments ring true - I'm not at the Cottage or Motspur, so I can't say the club doesn't have heart and soul, but the results show that it can be questioned re a strategy, plan, managers, desire. It's a $hitstorm in my opinion and many things, including a purge, must be worked out before next year. However, I still love this club, as you and others do, and it would be nice to push for promotion next campaign with a PLAN.

I lost my mind in 2010 and 2014 when the SF Giants clinched the World Series (2012 was a foregone conclusion) - but I never felt more joy supporting a team than when I saw Murphy's header against Portsmouth.
