I'm not at all certain about the wisdom of creating new match threads. There's no way to handicap these contests in my mind. Brentford's got a new manager, and I've lost track of the number since Mark Warburton was forced out last season. And our situation has been parried into near oblivion.
    I see a loss.

All I can say is that neither club will be promoted and neither club will be relegated.

    Sorry; that's all I got.

We have 2 true derby foes, and this is one of them. They've sold out the Putney End which means 5K full voiced visitors. Given the cluster-bleep of a mess our head coach search has become I'm guessing our supporters are waiting for something bad to happen. Brentford has been moving up the table while we are borderline in a free fall. All I want to know is WHERE THE F#%€ IS OUR VETERAN LEADERSHIP? We need to win by any means necessary, and we have senior players that need to grab everyone else by the scruff of the neck and get it together.

I think Stearman is the sort capable of this role. Now, if only he feels comfortable and empowered to actually DO it is another matter. Given the unsettled touchline boss situation, that seems unlikely.

I think we may find something out today. Often, you'll hear or read the phrase "the manager has lost the dressing room." We may learn today whether or not the front office has lost our dressing room.

Lonergan, Garbutt & Moussa back in XI, Burn on bench, no Husband.

Richards, Lonergan, and Garbutt back in the starting lineup -- it looks like a 3-5-2

So glad we have such a even keel, unbiased announcer. ;) I wish I recorded this game just to listen him go nuts on the Fulham goals a few more times. Guess I can catch the replay.

Senator, I agree. GJ sounded like he was already a fifth in when the match started; the own goal call was probably more passionate than either of the crucial goals scored by Dempsey or Gera in the Europa run...I'm glad it wasn't just me that thought he was (insert adjective here).

A draw, is a draw, is a draw.

Today was a classic Gentleman Jim performance -- one of his very best. I'm actually kind of glad that there was no television. I'd have hated to miss it.

My tactic of montoring the progress of the match in drips and drabs via the iphone whilst out and about running errands with the missus failed. But at least we didn't lose. Superstitiousness only works in baseball, apparently. Footy, not so much. I did hear GJ's call of Dembele's go ahead. He lost it....and I loved it. Wish we'd have won, though.

Finally was to see the match on the Offal. Is there a worse spot in the entire box to give up a penalty? Had to admit that I disagreed with GJ on that, it was a foul, and sadly looked inside the box. Nice to see Andy back between the pipes. Have to give props where they are due, Brentford's Bidwell saved their bacon twice with his tackle on Kaca's breakaway and Moose II's shot late on.

Just got back from London tonight and am friggen tired. Once I catch up on some sleep and get my bearings later this week, I will post some other photos from the game and the tour of Craven Cottage I took on Sunday.
