This seems to have some legs, so I'll post it. The resigning reports have dried up, so he may be pulling a Hyndman...or waiting to see who Kit's replacement is. He's disappeared our last two matches after getting on a goal scoring spree, he's very young and inconsistent, promising and yet still just a prospect. I have mixed emotions about him potentially leaving. Thoughts?

It's a penny-wise, pound-foolish thing for me. Sign the kid, and when we eventually sell him the club will make more money rather then being forced to sell him or getting nothing in return. As far as him going to Tottenham, it would be sheer lunacy going to a club where he would get next to zero playing time until he gets loaned out, but that's what you get with today's players. He must have an agent that couldn't give a rats arse about Moose II other than his commission.

Perhaps he should look at what's predictably happened to his former teammate, Patrick Roberts, after his move to Man City. As of today, he's made three sub appearances with no goals. Think he'll crack that starting 11 ahead of Sergio Aguero, Wilifried Bony, Fernando, Fernandinho, Kevin DrBruyne, et al?

Dembele's bargaining position has only improved from the summer & with continued regular starter's minutes will only continue to improve. Frankly, he'd be an idiot to re-sign now. But not doing so doesn't necessarily mean he's off, even though historically that's what happens.

I'm pretty sure Roberts didn't go to City expecting many minutes at the start. That was a 3-5 year decision with a big pay raise that can really only be judged down the road.

I see nothing to make me think that MD the Younger is going to Spurs. They have no need to buy and we have no need to sell.

You say that, but if he isn't willing to sign a new contract then we do have a need to sell. Better to get something for him in January than let him go for next to nothing in the summer.
