I never put to much stock into preseason results but scoring more goals than the team your playing is always good.

I always remind my kids of the ghost of the 2002 NY Jets. They cruised through a 4-0 pre-season that gave many high hopes. They started 1-4. They did claw their way into the playoffs, but they weren't the team some thought they were.

I just wish I knew what our formation was to have a better idea of what Kit is thinking. I haven't found any reference to that in the match summaries.

I watched most of the game on a stream and can tell you that we played with width (yay!!!!). Started in pretty much a stadard 4-4-2. Kaca started on the left and looked dangerous, Eisfeld on the right. Regardless of the result, I thought we played really well. We we're on top for most of the game playing a quick counter type style.

Obviously you don't want to read too much into it, but it was an encouraging performance. That being said, we looked further along in our preseason than they did. They also played a fairly weak lineup (I hadn't heard of a lot of their squad). Looking forward to seeing the full highlights, apparently Kaca scored a screamer (I stopped watch at 1-1 unfortunately).

It is a nice habit to get into. The key qualifier from the eminent philsopher Sir Hatter is the hard part..."and maintain." Not to be a debbie downer, we went 5-1 last pre-season. Unfortunately, as we all know only too well, that did not carry into our first season in the second tier in 13 seasons. Still, I'd rather win than lose. Every. Time.

The highlights have finally been posted. Kačaniklić's goal is at 7:10 in case you don't have 10 minutes to watch the whole thing.
