Have now lost the first four games of a season for the first time since 1956-57, so we have that going for us.

I like to think I have a pretty good understanding of football and it's strategies, tactics and formations. I've watched Derby play one match this year and I can tell you what they're trying to do and how. I've seen 3 full matches and one edited 40 minute highlight match of Fulham (in addition to all of Magath's games in charge last year) and I'm at a loss as to how we're attempting to score and who we're trying to target. If anyone can explain it to me, I'd appreciate it.

Oh yeah, and how is it that just about every other team I see can get 2-3 men in the box but we can usually only manage one?

At this point I have to begin believing Felix sees a light at the end of the tunnel and does not realize what is coming. Felix must find an instant fix to the offensive woes or his time will end abruptly.

I did get to listen to Gentleman Jim for the first half but am now thankful I was pardoned from what must have been a miserable second half GJ.

On the upside I got watch Katie open her high school JV scoring account. She managed a brace in the opening fiftteen minutes of an unfortunately lopsided match before being relegated to the bench for most of the first half and logging some central defender minutes in the second.

The extended "highlights" have been posted: http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2014/august/24/derby-county-replay

Like everyone else I was totally mystified by the lineup decisions this week. I was trying to give Magath the benefit of the doubt on Wednesday - I figured he put in a different mid-week lineup so a Millwall-esque roster for the match against Derby would have fresh legs. Instead it was nearly identical.

It is a long season, lots can happen, but it doesn't feel like we are even moving in the right direction any more.

No problems here. I just can't justify dragging myself out of bed at 7 am to listen to the radio when the team is this bad. I'll probably be in the chat room for the games that start at noon here.

I was referring to the quake. I have a feeling it probably wouldn't affect you in Sacramento much, but I guess it might be close enough just to check in to ask how are things in your area.

Thanks for the note and we didn't even feel it (we live in the hills on a big rock), but that didn't stop the inlaws from calling at 3:30 am to see if we were ok. God bless 'em.

I felt it. I was sitting on the couch when it happened and for 15 seconds or so it felt like sitting on an inflatable raft on a swimming pool. We can feel Bay Area quakes here in Sacramento but we're far enough away the feeling isn't strong. I've experienced enough of them that I knew what it was, and immediately went to www.usgs.gov to check it out.
