Are you sure? 8-)

Not much of National League follower so I am not sure what to make of the Brewer's win last night...but they got it done on the road.

yeah, hubris done bit me in the butt big time. I still like Rangers v. Cards in the World Series, though.

Interesting article about the Red Sox implosion not just on the field but as an organization. Henry deserves blame. I knew he was a creep and I hope that Liverpool has the same fate.

Never pay attention to anything Dan Shaughnessy writes, Mo. He's a hack, that always goes negative. I don't know why he's held his job for as long as he has...maybe cause the people of Boston love dirt which may have "some" truth but has been stretched way out of proportion to be taken seriously.

Just like last year, Texas has been fun to watch in the postseason. Nelson Cruz is making an early case for being the next Mr October with 10 homers in 24 postseason games, winning games 3 & 4 for the Rangers.

Boston media has a long tradition of burning people on their way out of town. If they did it to Bobby Orr, they'll do it to anyone. That approach seems to play well with the Northeast (Phi, NY, Bos) sports fan.

Regardless, I couldn't be happier. In the past decade, the Sox and their fans have become the very thing they've spent a lifetime vilifying...the Yankees. Some would argue their fans are actually worse.

Texas rolls up the hits to finish off Detroit. Nelson Cruz w/6 home runs in the series. This could have swung either way with the two 11 inning games, Cruz's stats in his 11th inning at bats; 2 for 2, 2 HRs, 7 RBI.

St. Louis looking for one more win, but Milwuakee has been great at home.

There have been several years where the Rangers had the bats -- Pudge, Juan Gone, and the Steroid at first base sprint to mind, but I can NEVER remember them having such a quality bunch of pitchers. They may not win it all this season, but they've defeated the in-form Rays and then the best-in-the-American-League Tigers. They SHOULD win it all regardless of who they play.

Ridiculous to think St. Louis has the homefield due to the National League win in the all-star game (Bud Selig is a genius  ).

Texas has had a few extra days off and this might cool off their bats a little bit. The Cards bullpen has been key in winning the pennant and must be again if they are going to claim their 11th title. I'll still take the Rangers in 6.

I'm still amazed this Cardinal team is still playing. Wouldn't bet against Don Tony at this point. St. Louis in 7 for number 11.

I liked the Rangers in 6 going in and still do. There's often an adjustment for the road team in the first game under the opposing league's rules. I fully expected Texas to drop Game 1, just as I expect the Cards to drop Game 3. Texas will steal Game 2 on the road, the Cards will nick one of Games 4 or 5, and Texas will close it out with Lewis at St Louis in 6.

If it goes 7 though, I think St Louis will win it.

I laughed out loud when one story called it the "vaunted
Cardinal bullpen." They obviously haven't followed our team at all this season. The stats don't lie. They just got hot at the right time, with the rest of the team, and were being used by Don Tony and Dave Duncan in the best possible scenarios for each situation. They are still without a true closer, as evidenced last night. Motte has ONE pitch, and big league hitters are in the big leagues for a reason...they can hit ANYBODY'S fastball, especially when they can sit on a relatively straight one pitch after pitch, regardless of the velocity. That said, I still like our chances. We've played better on the road than at home this season, so we'll see if that form holds. Momentum is only as good as the next day's starter, so it may shift many more times before this series is over.

The Rangers aren't just bashers. They run, move runners along, and situational hit. Once they got the bullpen help right before the deadline I thought they were the best team in the AL (which dossn't mean much in the playoffs). 2 excellent games so far and would expect more in Arlington (with more scoring from both sides).

I think LaRussa has completely overmanaged the series so far. He gets tagged a genius when it works, but it cost them in Game 2. Elvis Andrus was big last night.

I look for an increase in the offense now that the WS is moving to Texas b/c the starter quality drops off now, the bullpens have been worn a bit, and of course, warmer weather.

The games in this World Series, while very good, seem to be moving at a snail's pace. It's probably just a side effect of watching soccer.
