Fulham Slamma Jamma?

Postby HatterDon » Tue May 08, 2012 7:34 am

So I was watching the Sunderland match yesterday afternoon and found myself wondering which of our lads could slam dunk. At first I thought of Brede, but he's not a high flier. In basketball terms, he'd be less Wilt Chamberlain than Wes Unseld [ask your grandparents]. What got me thinking about it in the first place was watching and then admiring some serious "ups" by Mahamadou Diarra.

He's my nomination for Fulham Skywalker. Any others? Vegas Justin, I'm looking at you.

Glad to see your back from your second honeymoon HD, and I'm digging the title of this thread. Goes back to when college hoops was my favorite and the U of Houston's Phi Slamma Jamma was the best team never to win a title (Clyde the Glide Drexler, Akeem the Dream Olajuwon, Benny Anders, Michael Young, Larry Mr. Mean Micheaux) in an era where the players stayed for longer than a cup of coffee. Tangent over, back on topic; Seen some pics this year where our own Texas tornado is way off the ground. Briggsy reminds me of NBAer Tayshaun Prince and can probably throw it down left-handed. 10 years ago my guess is the big Aussie could of dunked two-handed. What about the Moose?

Who knocks in more headers than anyone for Fulham?

Mr. Clinton Dempsey could throw it down.

Probably Dempsey or Diarra. Dempsey could probably dunk, but Diarra looks like he could go Blake Griffin on somebody. He gets up there for sure. Agree with the Schwarzer suggestion as well, but like Dempsey, would probably only be able to dunk. Hangeland has as much hops as Zach Randolph which is why he misses the ball in the air at times.
