What an uninspiring effort. I would have loved for the Perez goal to be the last and we could argue the legalities of that one for a 1-1 tie. But 4-1? There are no words. Congrats. Sorry we couldn't give you a better game.

Glad that we got it back together for a game stealer against the Revs but I almost couldn't keep my lunch down watching that DC game.

GO HOOPS!!

Wish them the best of luck versus ManU Dallasbill, but I have to mention that our Cleveland Internationals just beat your U18s a week and half ago. Hee hee. And we dont have anything near FC Dallas' resources, facitlities, etc. And the kids who scored the winner is from my neighborhood. Also, will this kid Top be playing? Your link says Dallas' U18 team will be playing ManU

FC Dallas U-18s: 0
Internationals: 1

The U-18s' eight-game unbeaten run came to an end on Sunday, when they dropped a 1-0 result to Internationals. The lone goal of the match was scored by Grant Baltes in the 54th minute to give the visitors the win. It marked just the second time this season the U-18s have lost, each time by just one goal.

Oh and courtesy of the FC Dallas site, I found out our U16's were victorous too. Cleveland 'til I die!
FC Dallas U-16s: 0
Internationals: 2

Like the U-18s, the U-16s went on to drop a shutout result the next day, losing to Internationals 2-0. The visitors benefited from a brace scored by forward George Poppas, his first coming in the 17th minute and his second in the 80th.

Yea, Top played and scored 3 of the 4 goals for the team in their 3 games. He's a dynamic player and he'll be getting some first team action soon, I believe.

Looks like Cleveland's got our number with the youngsters.

Are you a Crew fan? If so, I'll circle my calendar for May 12th at your place.

Thanks Joe. May have seen good article on the team website about the two coaches.

Not a Crew fan. I tried but it didnt stick. Your enemy to south there in Houston is probably my favorite MLS team, but I spend most of my energy following the MLS players that have recently come from our local academy - Darlington Nagbe, Michael Nanchoff, and Chris Korb. I'm also a season ticket holder for the Univ. Of Akron men's soccer team. The local guys need some support is the way I think about it.

Good to hear Top did well and that Dallas appears to be producing a player who knows how to put the ball in the back of the net ala Dempsey. Keep us updated on how he progresses; there are several people on here that are interested in the developing youth players.

I watched some of the KC game and they looked good. Bunbury had a chance for a goal at the end, but as usual, he didn't convert the chance into a goal. He really needs a move somewhere as he doesn't seem to improving his game every year like he should.

Watched that game. KC flat out outplayed LA. I thought these two teams could easily defeat some of the bottom dwellers in Prem right now. Ugh...I really DC could get a stadium like that, what a great atmosphere they have now.

And, yeah, don't think Bunbury is going to get a lot of minutes with Kamara and Sapong ahead of him. He'll need to move on to another team if he's going to improve.

I am beginning to like Sporting KC...what a turnaround for their franchise from the Wizard days. Undefeated so far.

Watched the DC/Revs game...not a very impressive performance from either side, but glad the good guys won. Jeez, those Revs go down easy, nobody touches them and dive to the ground. Ick.

Have to love my lot in life. Fulham has a tendency to give up goals late in matches, and now Portland has lost 3 of it's 4 games in the last 10 minutes.

Another match, another Wondo goal. As was mentioned on another thread, Rafa Marquez is a complete &#^$%. What an asshole. I loathe that guy (look up his red in the '02 WC).

Looks like you were correct. Top's joining Dallas' first team for their Vancouver match. Best of luck to Top but I'm rooting for Vancouver and my boys Michael Nanchoff and Martin Rennie (former Cleveland City manager, he actually did bring us a championship).

Also of interest to many of us regarding Top,

Another coach that has taken notice is US Men's U20 National Team Manager Tab Ramos who called Top, along with FCD Academy teammates Danny Garcia and Boyd Okwuono, into the first major camp in preparations for the 2013 U20 World Cup. The homegrown forward started and played almost the entire game of the U20's 1-0 defeat of The University of Washington and Top credits coach Ramos with settling his nerves.

"Yeah it's definitely been the biggest camp so far, starting the U20 cycle," Top said. "It was very exciting, the first camp, so I was a little bit nervous at first, but coach Tab likes to play a lot so he gave us the confidence saying 'I don't care if you lose the ball, but work hard to get it back' so that was good."
