I LOVE it! Only sorta weird thing is the number on the front.

I like how it resembles the flag without being cheesy. Gonna have to wait for the price to go down though.

That's the exact replica...there's the cheaper version for $85.

Here's an article on the new jersey.

I've been waiting for red and white stripes, but I was hoping they'd be vertical rather than hoops. Dont like the tight look, I hope that's not the way they'll look on the players. Tight hoops not a good idea for the beer guzzling tailgaters and could even make a fit athlete look not so fit.

The big blank for the number on front and back is going to hinder sales. It's going to look stupid if you dont pay extra for a number and that'll put the price up to aroun $165

Yeah, it's funny how they squeezed 13 stripes on that shirt. At first I was only counting 12, but they got that last one on the very bottom tip.

I didnt notice the faint blue sash until I saw the jersey on Ives' blog. The picture Ives show doesnt have blank spaces for #s either.

And the replica with no blank spaces, if you don't want numbers. They thought of all the options.

I would get one...if they PAID ME $150. Seriously, who in their right mind decided to go with the candy cane look?? Insert barber shop quartet, candy stripper nurses jokes now. Close to the 1994 WC faded blue w/stars in terms of ugliness.

The more I look at it, I'm not sure about that faint sash. Looks almost like a mistake. I think i'll have to see it in person to fully judge.

Still a huge fan of the hoops though.

I agree with Joe, these things suck. What happened to the days of wearing a white kit with some blue and red on it? The World Cup jerseys from 2002 were good and so were the white kit from the last world cup. These things look like a horrible knockoff of the old Canadiens jersey.

Here's a history of all the USA jerseys. I didnt realize we had so many with a sash. Look at the '94 away jersey. If those stripes werent wavy, I think it would be nice.

But do the blue shorts put it in the cheesy category? Makes it look like a flag going down or hanging the wrong way. Maybe that's why they didnt do vertical stripes.

Gotta agree with the author on the 2006 third jersey. Love that old fashioned badge, but I wouldn't mind the 1988 badge either--just anything but that shooting soccer ball badge. :eusa-snooty:
