Another MLS team gets a new stadium

A place to talk about all the news and rumors in the EPL. And discuss all non-EPL leagues and teams...Europe, Seria A, MLS, La Liga etc. Also, International play, Word Cup, Qualifying, etc.

Another MLS team gets a new stadium

Congrats to the San Jose Earthquakes. Their city planning committee voted unanimously to uphold the plan. Well done. Very happy for them but I always feel a tinge of jealousy because at one time it seemed Cleveland was so close to doing the same, and if we had I would be a proud owner of season tickets right now.

good to see this. That bandbox they used to play in made the game a joke.

Yes, congrats San Jose.

Please DC, make something like this happen.

Great news - the old Spartan Stadium didn't have enough room (as HD stated), and Buck Shaw, while a fun atmosphere (which previously was both Santa Clara Univ.'s football and baseball stadium), is not a top-flight venue. This is awesome for SJ. I'm a season ticket holder this season, so I'll enjoy my time at Buck Shaw, but cannot wait for the new stadium.

 Congrats, gotta respect the 6-0 vote by the commission, and the fact 10 of the 12 luxury suites have already been sold.

:text-+1: Sounds like they've got their act together there. I love elevated thinking!

Good luck to SJ and fans...it can only help the game on this side of the pond.
