Certainly no answer from this effort as to where our other goals are going to come from. Bottom line is we have to win games at home against beatable opponents closer to us than the Mans and other big boys at the top. These are critical points we're dropping, for sure. Just hope the "good" Fulham show up at City and we give them a good go like we did at the Cottage. Hopefully some more scoring threats will emerge soon. otherwise it's gonna be squeaky bum time down the stretch.

I know Jol loves to keep his starters on the field as long as possible, but this was a game where you could have rested some of your regulars for City and then sub in Demps or AJ if needed. The way he made adjustments at halftime during the Newcastle game was great. I felt I was watching a different man on the sidelines. I think we are all wondering what's going on in Martin Jol's head. Imagine how the players feel. Still a point is a point and some momentum is better than none. After all we have 2 wins, 2 draws and 1loss in our last 5 matches. Hopefully Dembele will be back and our passing and forward pressure will improve.

While I am certainly not happy with the late goal certainly WBA could have scored a few times earlier. Stockdale had to make some good saves so we wouldn't have been down. I think as a whole our passing was impressive. Not having a striker was best summed up in the first half when we crossed it into the box and no one was there. Once we get AJ/Trotta/Pog/Sa up there we should be getting more goals. CIty will be a tough challenge, but Everton showed they are not perfect.

Here to to 27 points, a full 3 wins from the drop zone! :obscene-drinkingbuddies:

My immediate reaction was one of complete disappointment to lose 2 valuable points in last 10 minutes. But after thinking it over some more, I was really nervous at the start of the match, and didn't think Fulham would get a goal to begin with. Roy certainly gets his teams playing really well defensively, and we didn't have our usual strikers on hand. But does that matter when you have Clint Dempsey getting the goals this season?

I think Ruiz did really well up top, and may perhaps need to play that role for the rest of the season. But can Fulham please stop punting long balls to him? He doesn't win those headers. Thanks.

Overall, I am very displeased that we dropped 2 points, and hope all these lost points don't come back to haunt the team. I am sure we are safe from the drop, but I wish the team had more points to make that very clear.

I agree that he did well and let's see what he can do when he plays off a true target man, which leads me to...what the hell was with all of punts to Ruiz with Dempsey playing off him? I don't think he won any of them and our esteemed representative from DC is correct.

If you have seen the commercial where a couple is in a nice restaurant and the woman is starting to discuss their relationship and the man cheers while sneaking a look at his phone 'what I am I? a summoner who can just summon scores?' then acts like he's listening to her, well that was me in the lobby of a business as I checked the score on my phone and saw Clint had scored (the receptionist looked up  )

Clint doesn't take that elbow late and my guess is that he might have done better w/that free header at the end.

The less defensive responsibilities for Ruiz right now the better. Let him free his mind from the side of the ball that is obviously a weakness and use his tremendous creativity.

Simon Davies being available is like a Jan. window signing. Welcome back Digger!! Now stay healthy.

From the sounds of it Woy got a tremendous reception :bow-yellow:
