Stu Holden - More surgery

Postby Clevelandmo » Wed Sep 28, 2011 10:26 am

He will miss at least another six weeks according Ives:
Stuart Holden's latest comeback has hit a minor snag.

Holden will miss the next six weeks after electing to undergo a follow-up surgery on his knee.

"Our prime concern has always been Stuart's welfare and his long-term health and fitness," Bolton manager Owen Coyle said on the club's official website. "It was looking likely that the operation could be scheduled for next summer, but after follow-up consultations with the specialists we have brought the date forward."

Holden played in three reserve games and made a 90-minute appearance in the Carling Cup in his first action for Bolton since returning from a severe injury suffered in March against Manchester United.

Is he going to fall into the "If only he could of stayed healthy" category?? At this rate he will join Tab Ramos and John O'Brien as greatest US players that spent as much time in the physio's office as the pitch.

well six weeks has now turned into six months. Man I feel bad for him. Not to play the blame game but this seems a bit suspicious to me. Why do you bring him back only to have routine follow up surgery required. I bet he came back too soon and reinjured himself.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing, came back before he was ready.
